    Hard to find any information whether it's USB-C, even the manual only talks about "USB port". Is it? Looks a lot more like MicroUSB at 3:04.

    These are nice looking, but audio/distance wise, the Motorola T62 wins it, even though I don't like the looks of the new Motorola series. Preferred the TLKR series. I also noticed that the T62 filters out the background noise, where with the PR-T1 the noise can be clearly heard from the beginning of the test.

    I've bought a european PMR version and I have some questions, which I couldn't figure out from the manual (I've read it carefully). Maybe you would be able to help me answering some of them?
    1. There are two channels/frequencies on the display, but how do I set the second one? Up/down buttons change only the first frequency
    2. Even though manual says that low/high power setting is only available in US version, mine has it too. I'm sure it's a european version, frequencies are 446MHz. Does it really affect the TX power?
    3. There is a setting for narrowband/wideband but no mentioning of it in the manual. What is better to use and why?
    Pretty weird that the guide doesn't cover this, I also tried to google these questions but didn't find anything that makes sense.. Thanks for the video btw :)

      1. Just found out myself by trying out random things. You have to simultaneously press and hold both UP and DOWN buttons to switch between the first and second frequency. This was really not mentioned in the manual!

      Using a two-way radio on a cruise ship may be tricky if it is big and the metal absorbs all the signals.

    hey i have question.. the 2 way radio can join the other brand or to join the channel???

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад

      Yes, normally two-way radios are interoperable, if they are in the same frequency band, e.g. PMR / FRS

    This is only 0.5 watts. I suspect the FRS version will have significantly higher range with the 2 watts

    • @ReviewTechTV
      @ReviewTechTV  5 лет назад

      Yes, FRS radios most like will have a better range, but ultimately the terrain plays an important role as well, e.g. city, urban, countryside, mountains, forest and such...

    Thank you for the detailed intro. One qucik question. Bought the FRS version of these units but looks like in India recently PMR 446 and 446.2 is made available for public, comapared to the earlier CB band of 27 MHZ.
    Now the question is, can we program this FRS radio to PMR frequencies so that I don't have to send them back for exchange.
    Also they say its is programmable but no programming software and cable is made availabe yet.
    Can you please do advice what could be done here. I strongly would like to reprogramme it, if possible to avoid long waiting hours to return the product.
