I don't understand why these dealers say the value of the car goes down when you drive it off the lot, when they have to drive it just to get it in there🤔

because once an owner is assigned to that car in records, after the dealer, it is no longer new and if it's ever returned its no longer a "one owner" car. The value goes down.
