I live on a Council estate, surrounded by other houses. I made a quiet pellet trap stuffed with old denim, works a treat. I practice in short bursts as well, no complaints so far !
same here got to keep the noise down for neighbours with to much time on their hands , i keep any card board boxes i get whatever size fill em with old towels or bag up some sand and put it all inside and tape it up , iv got a resetting gammo target very noisy and got questioned by a neighbour , luckily a bloke couple of doors away was doing a bit of building work so blamed him saying its his nail gun!

Just remember that they always go after your ammunition first. Starting with a full ban on lead pellets and then bumping up the alloy pellets until they are unaffordable.
Even here in the US they confront you if you are shooting lead out in open fields due to wildlife and groundwater contamination. We are supposed to be shooting composite pellets in California 🇺🇸
It doesn’t mater if it’s got a barrel or not , If you end up in hospital by putting a nail through your hand from a nail gun , Apparently that now goes down as a firearms incident. Love the channel.
I do shoot in my apartment since I live alone I don't have anyone in close proximity,neighbors are aware of it, I think, I had Police over for other reasons but they never said a word only gave me compliments on good collection of my Air Guns and Rifles...My son loves ❤️ shooting 🔫 and we have competitions, you are allowed only 10 pellets or BBs and targets are white caps from soda bottles, distance 7 meters or about 21 feet...And yep that's what we do and eye protection is a must or you get disqualified...
Good plan. I can just about get 10 meters indoors, and it's nice to be able to shoot in the warm on a winter evening. *edit - Definitely eye protection!

After years of wanting, I finally got someone to do me a good deal on a trade for the wife, two dogs, a right arm and a couple of Yamahas to get my walnut Prosport. I took possession two days ago and it has made me realise what a load of mediocre tosh my previous rifles are….. I think I can finally give the barn door back to my local farmer 2:162:16 …… already pellet on pellet at 20yds. I think I’m in love 😍😍😍
I asked my wife her secret to out shooting me and she said; "Just line up the sights and don't let them move when you pull the trigger". Hmm! Really! Nice.

Robert, if I may make a suggestion - I have an SMK/Artemis CP-2 and it comes with a very effective sound moderator. It's as close to silent as anything I've owned. Not expensive, but it has the running costs of Co2 bulbs and they are cheap if bought in bulk from some suppliers. I recommend this gun where noise is critical. Accurate, quiet, and reasonably priced - it's a lot of enjoyment.
I really enjoy these videos and do find them informative and entertaining. The PR900 project though is really the sort of thing I like to see. I can't wait to find out what parts are fitted and how its done.

Hi again Drew. Just to share with you..... Re targets.... I use an old serial box ( corn flakes ) FULL of old carpet out of the living room... With foam backing .,.. it's super quiet and catches/retains all the the spent lead. I stick a white piece of A4 paper on it with the dots here and there..... Once the paper target has fulfiled it's role stick another piece on. When the box has "shot" it...brake the carpet out and stick it in a new serial box. And we are talking whisper quite when those pellets hit.bworks a treat. Cheers, Richard.

I just wanted to say, “THANK YOU!” for doing your channel(s) in your style which is totally unique, original, and stands out in this overly populated RUclips world. (I first found out your photo / video making channel.) I just uploaded my first “air gun” related video. It’s about (new to me) eBay found Beeman P1 (same thing as Weihrauch HW45), and how I “meditate” with it. (If I put the video link here, RUclips will delete my comments. So, I’ll email you the video link along with the photos I took. I also use vintage lenses a lot.) Ever since this P1 came into my possession, I (almost) exclusively shoot this one, with open sight, off hand. (10m / 33ft). I found out your “offhand shooting videos just a few days ago. They are so encouraging. (It kind of looks like everyone on RUclips who does air gun video must do chronograph test, measure trigger pull weight with digital scale, and do the accuracy test on the bench with a scope or red dot. I don’t do these things. I just shoot, offhand, with open sight. Anyway, thanks again. And take care.

I keep a Spanish rifle I’m not too bothered about just in case the plod ever turn up. I don’t mind them taking that one it’s old and under powered so I can argue that it’s arm less. The expensive guns are in locked away in the gun cupboard.

Hi drew In regards a tune for your prosport I've just had my mk3 tx200hc done by nick gibney he does a 21mm aluminium skirted piston conversion with the reduced cylinder custom steel guide / spring and his x ring seal and transfer port mod the difference is night and day compared with the standard setup and your prosport is the same inside as a tx so he'll be able to do the conversation. I keep my back garden shooting noise to a minimum by normally shooting from inside my kitchen, it's fenced off and there's no path or other access where someone could appear in the line of fire unexpectedly. I deliberately use rifles which make the least noise, an HW30 .22 with moderator or a low power old BSA Cadet, keep my rate of fire fairly low out of consideration and I don't shoot for extended periods of time. If I can hear neighbours or kids outside somewhere nearby I won't shoot (common sense). The noise of pellets repeatedly hitting steel plate is potentially annoying for others. A safe, cheap and very quiet pellet catcher is a cardboard box full of rags placed in front of a solid backstop like paving slabs or a brick wall. As soon as pellets leave the boundary of your property or your airgun shooting activities endanger or cause alarm/ distress to neighbours then you are breaking the law which can obviously get you into trouble and unfortunately makes airgun shooting look bad in general. It's very important to be careful and considerate not only for safety but to preserve the sport.
Agreed wholeheartedly. If we want our freedom to pursue our hobby to continue then it's our responsibility to show common sense, respect, and due consideration.

@@LowkeyAirgunner they jump about when you hit them, and depending on the velocity of the gun - the round either passes though or just bounces a few feet away because the target is free to move.

Before you shell out on a full tune try a base TbT kit for the ProSport. Works well for my favourite rifle

@@mucy2807 iv been stockpiling pellets since they started talking about banning lead which is a ridiculous idea in its self I really don't think it's going to be long before they start clamping down of air weapons and forcing us to pay ridiculous licence fees it's all part of there slow creap towards total control of our so called freedom

I keep my back garden shooting noise to a minimum by normally shooting from inside my kitchen, it's fenced off and there's no path or other access where someone could appear in the line of fire unexpectedly. I deliberately use rifles which make the least noise, an HW30 .22 with moderator or a low power old BSA Cadet, keep my rate of fire fairly low out of consideration and I don't shoot for extended periods of time. If I can hear neighbours or kids outside somewhere nearby I won't shoot (common sense).
The noise of pellets repeatedly hitting steel plate is potentially annoying for others. A safe, cheap and very quiet pellet catcher is a cardboard box full of rags placed in front of a solid backstop like paving slabs or a brick wall. As soon as pellets leave the boundary of your property or your airgun shooting activities endanger or cause alarm/ distress to neighbours then you are breaking the law which can obviously get you into trouble and unfortunately makes airgun shooting look bad in general. It's very important to be careful and considerate not only for safety but to preserve the sport.
Agreed wholeheartedly. If we want our freedom to pursue our hobby to continue then it's our responsibility to show common sense, respect, and due consideration.

@@LowkeyAirgunner they jump about when you hit them, and depending on the velocity of the gun - the round either passes though or just bounces a few feet away because the target is free to move.
