it is nice to see the different price/product comparisons between different nations. All that matters is that you are happy with your purchaces. well done. Cheers for sharing.
the new rig looks so sophisticated after ol' molly! i was always interested in the evolution of the montero/pajero - since you still have molly, it might make a good episode to talk about the changes over time, both cosmetically and the esthetic, and in the 4x4 mechanicals. enjoying the new project!
Nice job on that Shogun. I have a 2001 Monty GEN 3 I turned into a overland vehicle, lift sus. , removed the back interior, wheels and tires lots of new eng. components. Time belt(its gas) and numerous other components. But any way thank you for the info on all the fluid replacement. It helped a lot.
Looks awesome guys and such an easy set up with the RTT. The awnings were dead easy to set up as well. Was great to see the kit in real life in the Patreon camp. The pull out kitchen was amazing 👍👍 Cheers S&J 🥰
Hello, the new mooly II is superb, the tent must provide great comfort, I preferred the old Moly awning, but it still makes a beautiful set that will take you on new adventures.
Wonderful video, I like the remote control tent , it’s a good idea to have a sliding table kitchen system it looks clean and easy to use. I look forward to seeing your next video 😊👍
Getting there... Can the Rtt be opened without power? (if it should fail) and why did you not go for a Bat /Ostrich wing 270 instead surely you would get more coverage also a bottom tent for around the ladder incase of bad weather etc?.... looking g at that weight now on the truc I take it your be upgrading the suspension system etc...
Yes it can be opened manually with a couple of tools which are supplied 👍 the 270 would give more coverage yes so is the ideal just being a budget inspired build the 2 awnings work well 🙂 keep an eye for suspension 😉
Absolutely the coolest rooftent I have seen so far, and not just because it is electrical operated. It's rugged look contrasts a bit with the more suv look of the vehicle though, I guess it would look better on your own car. Missed the dimensions of it, will a normal length person of about 2mtr fit in 😁? Looking forward to the next video to see what more is in store.
Your right it does look quite different to the norm! We like that too. We fit with no issues but it may well be worth double checking the dimensions with Direct4x4 for your height 😁
Very impressed with that tent design though the ladder would worry me. Is there a way to add limit straps or bumpers to keep it from hitting the vehicle?
I was thinking there would probably be a way to secure it, there is straps but you release them to enable the tent to go up. It only would fall if you were on an angle on that side if you see what I mean. But you can hold it to be sure at the final stage.
270° would be the ideal for total coverage and ease but the 2 awnings work well in that you can get one or the other out as and when needs but mostly suits a budget inspired build 🙂
Shows what you can do with 10k, not everything needs to be the absolute cheapest for a budget build, there’s still room for life’s little luxuries like an electric roof tent.
Yes it's just on cross bars to the factory rails which from memory can take around 80kg. 10% off at the moment with Direct4x4.co.uk on all the gear using code JKOVERLAND.
The build is coming together nicely and as a stock Pajero owner I am taking notes too. Do you have any protection under the vehicle or is that outside the budget? Keep up the good work guys and look forward to your next adventures.
Am I right in thinking those 2 grey storage boxes come out to £249?? I'm not seeing the benefit of them, especially considering the price, when a couple of plastic storage boxes from the supermarket would be about £20 and do the same job. I may be wrong as I've never done overlanding so interested to know why they are worth that cost thanks :)
They are tough and durable water and dust tight so could be on outside of a vehicle or in pick up for example. I've used simple thin wall boxes before and find the crack and spilt in not time at all with the use they get on the road and at camp every day.
@@JKoverland Ok that's fair enough, if they were being transported on the outside I can see the benefit. That said as this is a 'budget build' and they'll be on the inside of the vehicle I can't help but think there are better budget options.
Great watch. What fridge/freezer is that?
It's a direct4x4.co.uk one, 12% off all expedition gear too if you use code JKOVERLAND2023 🤟
Nice set up guys, I'm liking the slide out fridge & kitchen workstation very much.
Yes us too it's a game changer!
Hello couple....
Your car is getting better, congratulations!
Thus facilitates the journey, the adventure!
God bless🙏🏻
It's looking good hey!

Cheers to that! 👍👍

Now that would be a long video 😜

Glad it helped in some way 👍
Hi love the tent but I would have gone for the 270 awning
Again it's a budget focused build 😉
This is looking great guys, i think this build is spot on in my opinion, and for the intended use and budget! Good work!
Thanks man 😊🤟 yes for a good around tourer I don't think much would be better!
Just found your channel good stuff, keep up the good work u two .Martin Thailand 😎
Thank you Martin, it's been a good experience building this vehicle 👍
Great looking build.
Cheers to that 😉
Very nice for review.
Looking good! Very practical and good quality equipment. Nice set up,congratulations .
Should be all set for an adventure now 😉
I like that slide out cooking station, would they be able to fit that to a Ford ranger
I don't see why not, enough space in the bed of the truck. Available at direct4x4.co.uk and get 10% off using code JKOVERLAND 😃
Great setup 👍
Cheers! 😁
so cool
Thanks! 😄

That time was the first we ever set up camp with the new gear so that's how simple it was 😁🙌
nice setup...hope to see u soon here in Tuscany💪💪💪🏆
Many thanks! 😀
That set up looks amazing- what a great camper project
Really pleased how this one is shaping up 🙌
Hello,
the new mooly II is superb, the tent must provide great comfort, I preferred the old Moly awning, but it still makes a beautiful set that will take you on new adventures.
This one is Maisie 😉 the build iscoming together nicely now. Adventure is needed!
Wonderful video, I like the remote control tent , it’s a good idea to have a sliding table kitchen system it looks clean and easy to use. I look forward to seeing your next video 😊👍
Thank you! We are most pleased with this set up, it just works and is functional and very easy to use 😀

I agree a 270 awning would have been a great idea, great video and project
Yes it can be opened manually with a couple of tools which are supplied 👍 the 270 would give more coverage yes so is the ideal just being a budget inspired build the 2 awnings work well 🙂 keep an eye for suspension 😉
Love the roof tent ,but can it still be opened manually if the motor fails?
Indeed it can, has tool provided for manual set up 🙂👍
What a cracking set up really like the roof top tent 👍🏴
Starting to take shape now 🙌
For a budget build that’s bloody awesome! Well done guys. So what’s the plan? Gonna use this one for a big trip and leave the old girl at home?
All to be revealed soon 😉 your on the right lines regarding a big adventure in it.
@@JKoverland looking forward to it!
Can't wait 🙌
Are you planing on putting a snorkle?
It's certainly a possibility, especially with the location of the air intake on these.
This is my fav vid so far! how comes no 270 awning?
This was to keep things simple and cost effective for the project 🙂
Absolutely the coolest rooftent I have seen so far, and not just because it is electrical operated. It's rugged look contrasts a bit with the more suv look of the vehicle though, I guess it would look better on your own car. Well... What about tent to sleep in?
It was comfortable nights sleep 😌
Que maravilha muito bom tamo junto tudo de bão
We need this equipment here in Brazil 🇧🇷
Hopefully it will make its way 🙌
Very impressed with that tent design though the ladder would worry me. Is there a way to add limit straps or bumpers to keep it from hitting the vehicle?

Enhorabuena, saludos desde España. Podrías decirme la marca y modelo del Modular Kitchen, Gracias y ánimo con el nuevo proyecto. 👍
Any reason you didn't get the 270 degree awning again?
270° would be the ideal for total coverage and ease but the 2 awnings work well in that you can get one or the other out as and when needs but mostly suits a budget inspired build 🙂
Shows what you can do with 10k, not everything needs to be the absolute cheapest for a budget build, there’s still room for life’s little luxuries like an electric roof tent.
That's it can build to what suits you :)
Asweom setup! Is the tent just mounted on roof racks that are attached to the factory side rails? How much weight can it support
Yes it's just on cross bars to the factory rails which from memory can take around 80kg. 10% off at the moment with Direct4x4.co.uk on all the gear using code JKOVERLAND.
Interesting set up did you discount a 270 degree awning rather than the two awning option for a particular reason?
Thanks! Being a more budget focused set up the two awnings as opposed to a 270° made more sense 🙂
@@JKoverland what was price difference on two awning Vs 270 degree one
270 would still cost more yes 🙂
Awesome stuff guys. Love the remote controlled tent. just curious , can you access it through the sunroof? ♥🇱🇰
Pretty awesome hey! 🙂 unfortunately that's not possible but would be cool af 😂
@@JKoverland oh. anyway cool build guys. hope to see you guys enjoy it. most of us live vicariously on RUclips. 😋 good luck on the journey.
Next stop - Europe & pastel de natas please 🙏🏼
Can't wait!!
Does the fridge work as a freezer as well? I'm after a 12V freezer about 30l to 40l but don't want to spend £1000 on a big 160l one!
Yes it does either or 🙂
Where I can find this kitchen slider?
These are on the direct4x4.co.uk website or contact them, don't forget to use code JKOVERLAND for 10% off! 😃
where can I get thoes storage boxes please
Direct4x4 also use code JKOVERLAND for 10% off 👍

Keep watching as under armour will be discussed soon 😉

Magnusson toolboxesfrom b&q work really well and are relatively cheap
Loving the series though thanks guys 👍🏴🏴
Muito bacana! Parabéns!
you could round off those numbers
Great video you guys keep them coming. Do you have any stickers available ?
Will do! 😁 yes stickers available on our website jkoverland.com
Would be interesting to see what you could do with half that budget 🤔 10 grand plus is quite alot of money
I'm sure someone out there has or will do. We have choosen 10k as this is still a frugal budget by comparison to the norm in this industry.
You can get roof top tents for half that and they also replaced the wheels, so theres about £1500 less already.
Your lucky mate a Pajero here in Portugal would cost you 15k plus . Mine is a 2000 gen 3 swb cost me 14k 😅
I know I've seen hoe ludicrous the prices can be here 😅 I feel for you guys!
What happened to molly
