One should NOT COMPARE the Boosted clips of pixel from the stocks of iPhone and Samsung. Yes a preview is good but one won't do video boost every single time waiting for 5 hrs. Add its stock videos thats where the reality is Dannyy!
I agree. Video Boost relies on Google Photos, which means 1: the phone isn't producing those results on its own, and 2: it's a cloud service that eventually you're going to have to pay extra for. It doesn't make sense to compare Pixel Video Boost to the stock iPhone or Samsung video.
From what I have seen of the Pixel's boosted video, it looks quite poor detail-wise and too processed when viewed on a larger screen. On the device's screen it can look nice and punchy till you zoom in.

The Boosted Pixel video was better in all scenarios IMO. You mentioned the Pixel's sky was an issue but the iphone had haze. Considering the main subjects were clearer on Pixel and the sky is the background while the whole iphoen video had haze is a Pixel win here.
Yes boosted video does look shaper and clearer but the drastic differences were 8K vs iPhones 4K. Keep that in mind. That “haze” comes from noise reduction as well so the video has to be balanced to be good. I am sure Google will strengthen this as time goes on and I am with it.

9:48 My Pixel 7 Pro takes much, much better moon photos than this image of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, when I use the Pixel 7 Pro at 15x (not 30x, which has a very bad algorithm on the 7 Pro), at least if it's not a crescent moon which would make the camera app choose analog binning. Google has downgraded the periscope camera because in contrast to 7 Pro/8 Pro, the 9 Pro XL always uses analog binning for 10x-30x photos(unless you choose the 50 megapixel mode), resulting in 2.48 megapixel dng files at 10x whereas the 7 Pro gives you 11.4 megapixel at 10x, if the light conditions are decent.
Most daily users will never use that boosted Google feature it just take way too long they need to make baked in from the moment you click the record button
I'm an owner of a 15 Pro Max, and I legitimately WANT the Android phones to do better because I started out as an Android fanboy and I like competition. But I feel like the iPhone is still the most consistent. It's not the most realistic necessarily, but it produces a certain look that doesn't really change much, regardless of which lens you're using. The Pixel selfies are great, but I feel like all the back camera images are over-exposed. Sometimes the Samsung looks more realistic, but sometimes it looks extremely over-saturated, and Samsung still struggles with the slow shutter speed which causes motion blur. I feel like the iPhone pretty much always looks like what the world looks like when I'm wearing my sunglasses, and while that's not extremely realistic, it's also not a bad thing. Also I agree with people saying it doesn't really make sense to show the Video Boost capabilities. I understand why it's brought up to begin with, but It's like comparing edited video to straight-out-of-camera, except the edited video is done in Google Photos automatically. You can argue that it's a Pixel-exclusive feature, but it still requires Google Photos. It's not doing the processing on the phone. And that means eventually you're going to have to pay extra money to continue to use Video Boost. Eventually you're going to run out of Google Drive storage, or Google could start charging for Video Boost in general (like they're already planning for Gemini Advanced).
I think the iphone and the Pixel are a clear step above Samsung's fuzzy mess, especially visible in trees. It does better with scenes with less detail.,
Have been using Pixel 6 for almost 3 years. Although their photos and videos from the camera app are in par with other flagship, their video call quality on Whatsapp and other apps feels like I'm in 2010. Would love to know if Google has fixed it with the Pixel 9 series.
I'm a Samsung user, but I've always liked how the iPhone pics look since about the 13, and now I just like the Pixel. At a quick glance, I was drawn to the Pixel for almost every photo here. Samsung over-processes and although many pics look really good, Samsung struggles with colour vibrancy in low-light from many generations ago. I use Samsung mostly because of the software, watch integration and stuff like Samsung Notes and will unlikely change, however I'm not too convinced to update handsets anymore. Samsung pics usually look like they were taken on a mobile phone whereas the iPhone and Now the pixel, many photos have the style of a DSLR.
I am surprised how of an improvement has the 24 ultra has seen, clerly a better shooter in all scenarios. As usual Danny being an apple fanboy still supporting apple even it is lagging behind.

4:34 I've had the 15, the S24U and Pixel 8 Pro for a year now. The iPhone is a BEAST with Night Mode on. It's the best phone for long-range zoom with Night Mode on. No idea what Apple did there but nothing comes even close.
I've been a samsung user for 9 years, and previously iPhone, but no way you're telling me night time video looks better on those, the Pixel kills it. What are you guys watching? Btw i watched this video on my 4k tv

I want a pixel but how likely is it that an update will fix the photos???
How soon?🤔🤔
iPhone has the most accurate, consistent, and the least "processed" processing.
Pixel 9 Pro XL Camera Quality Video quality makes the beauty of nature look stunning. My favorite Pixel 9 pro XL💯😇🥰
Reviw gooddddd😊
Good job
Eventually you're going to run out of Google Drive storage, or Google could start charging for Video Boost in general (like they're already planning for Gemini Advanced).
prawdopodobnie pierwszy nieopłacony test. brawo.
Sir... do flash light work during macro video in pixel 9 pro ?? .. not asking about photo
Yes it does I just tried it
Thanks for the informatio
The S24 Ultra was arguably the best and most consistent. Best all rounder.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Not sure if I'm the blind one or you.
I think the iphone and the Pixel are a clear step above Samsung's fuzzy mess, especially visible in trees. It does better with scenes with less detail.,
I'd love to see a comparison with the Pura 70 Ultra and the Vivo X100 Ultra!
Have been using Pixel 6 for almost 3 years. Although their photos and videos from the camera app are in par with other flagship, their video call quality on Whatsapp and other apps feels like I'm in 2010. Would love to know if Google has fixed it with the Pixel 9 series.
Huawei Shutter speed comparison please. Compared to iPhone
Don't forget shutter lag on Samsung. Gave up on their devices just because of blurry useless pictures of anything with even slight movement
The only thing i am interessted in is: RAW. I just ordered the pixel 9 pro. Hope it will nail it. Untouched, not even sharped what ever -->RAW
Such a great camera comarison video 🙏 thank you so much
I am surprised how of an improvement has the 24 ultra has seen, clerly a better shooter in all scenarios. As usual Danny being an apple fanboy still supporting apple even it is lagging behind.
@dannywinget any chance of a camara test but label them the wrong phones eg label s24 ultra photos iphone 15pro max etc, just so we can prove how much brand sways people preception
That's a great idea!
Can you share the samples you took for us download full resolution pics to compare? Don't label them, just leave EXIF file details
4:34 I've had the 15, the S24U and Pixel 8 Pro for a year now. The iPhone is a BEAST with Night Mode on. It's the best phone for long-range zoom with Night Mode on. No idea what Apple did there but nothing comes even close.
Yesss indeed you are right they improved it so much..
I've been a samsung user for 9 years, and previously iPhone, but no way you're telling me night time video looks better on those, the Pixel kills it. What are you guys watching? Btw i watched this video on my 4k tv
How can I get the wallpapers I see in Instagram reels videos?
Love my s24 ultra 1 tb ❤
3 brand cameras all great.
But.. I still more prefer iPhone camera. I have an iPhone 15 Pro.
I also have an iPhone 15 pro but i prefer S24 Ultra this time..
@@kfx3907 could be. I already mention 3 brand cameras all great.
I have an iphone 15 pro max and I still prefer way more the pixel 9 pro xl
I have a Nokia 3310 and prefer a Canon DSLR Mark IV
@@dannyd1987 woah!! Still have an Nokia phone?! 😳😳😳
Definitely noticed the noise in the pixel 9 pro xl photos after doing some camera tests. It sucks because it's a big downgrade since the 6 pro, but It mostly noticeable taking photos in clear skies only.
