Ninja are trained to kill, mostly during war. You have a mission and even if you litter the ground with corpses, it's part of the job - just another day and another person you don't feel a thing for, just move on to the objective. However, that scene of Obito mercilessly beating the shit out of a dude that's already dead, isn't just something you do out of duty. That's beyond personal. That's not what happens in a battlefield. Obito is simply my favorite character not just in Naruto but in all of anime. How Kishimoto presented him was just perfect. From his chilhood innocence, to him becoming evil, his disguise as Tobi up to the point where he redeemed himself. The character development is just perfect. Obito's death always bring tears to my eyes. Kishimoto is a genius.
Say what you want about the series' flaws. Say what you want about it's characters. But seeing Obito like this? Even with all the fillers, I came to love how similar he was to Naruto, but this? This hurts. Despite how he ended up, he deserved better than falling to darkness.
I don't think an anime has ever gripped my emotions like Naruto has. It sounds very stupid but it's almost like I felt every emotion Obito felt as he was going through it. I imagined myself in his shoes, waiting years and years in imprinsonment, only to finally get out and realize all your years of waiting and wasting away your childhood was for nothing. I felt all of Obito's sadness and rage and anger. And the utter defeat at the end... "This is Hell" will forever be the most dramatic and immersive scene I've ever witness.
3:43. I actually realized something amazing with this detail. The reason why his right eye area covered in blood instead of the left one is because of his mask. His mask only showed his right eye and covered the rest of his face. A really good attention to detail. Something that frequently absent in Japanese animations.
I don't think this scene represents JUST Obito going insane seeing his childhood crush dying. I like to interpret it like Rin representing Obito's childhood and dreams, his innocence. Obito is watching his past life dying: His childhood, his dream to become a Hokage (Rin was the one that most supported him, and now she's dead), his bonds with Minato's team, his trust in Kakashi and people in general. But all of that was lost before Rin's death. Obito spends like 2-3 years sick and prisoned, being manipulated by Madara and Zetsu... He was already rotten inside. Rin's death (as the person who most supported and loved him) was the representation of all the potential and live in young Obito's heart dying. He went insane because he was in complete despair at that point, he was realizing that he lost everything, that his life has become hell.
I would also like to add that the end of scene also perfectly contrast the situation Naruto was in when he was in despair, Whereas Naruto had people who pulled him out of his pain and rallied behind him, Obito was all alone and cold when he at his lowest with the only person he can truly go back to was Madara

the Uchiha clan's curse on full display, Obito love turned to hate, and unlocked probably one of the most powerful mangekyo sharingan abilities in History
An Uchiha using both Sharingan & Wood Style. I don't think I'm 100% right but to those of you who know what I mean, this is when I actually thought that Obito could become the youngest Sage of Six Paths. Depending on both Naruto & Sasuke's age.
Ok obito hits different in sub, I’ve watched all of Naruto and this has got to be one of the most brutal and epic moments in the anime! HE LITERALLY KILLED ABOUT 100 OR MORE NINJA AT ONCE AND HES UNTOUCHABLE LIKE HE IS PROUD TO CALL HIMSELF AN UCHIHA!
And obito’s kill count is 65K SO THATS 65,000 PEOPLE MURDERED BY HIM LIKE WOW.
Best scene of all time . 🍷🎩
2:23 obito turned that guy into jelly
Discovering this fight was even more brutal then madara VS shinobi alliance O-O
Finally I found the original sound which is not mute
In the manga we could see the tree with all the body parts and there was the moon at the center of the page (this scene happens in the chapter 605 btw)
2:53 everybody was there scard of 13 year old boy 😂😂😂
Even tobirama will be scared ☠️
Who else is coming back to these scenes after watching Boruto…
