- Here is a tour of my current home. All of the things in my home have been carefully and meaningfully curated by me.
I am an interior decorator by profession and have been blogging about home decor for over a decade. My style is Indian maximalism with a lot of Indian Vintage and antiques, Indian handmade and Indian art.
Decor is about who you are and what you love and I think my home is a true representation of who I am and the things that I love.
The warmth of the decor got enhanced by your description and how you had a story for each piece of art. Loved this ❤

Your house is really very beautiful, Preethi. I've seen both videos 5-6 times 😊 You have an exquisite collection, and all styles and varieties. I did follow you on Instagram too, but I don't check it that often. I don't think I've checked it for weeks, now. You're very creative. Don't want "meaningless socialization"... Yer sayin that to an inveterate, hopeless and remorseless introvert 😄 And I'd totally watch a 1 hour long video!! I'd love to go over every lovely detail and story! Every time I see this video, I catch some new details... Those lamps...beside the pink couch...with Ajanta paintings? So beautiful! I've also developed a great interest for masks with large eyes...that mask wall really piques my curiosity ...and the big yellow mask... It's so expressive! Absolutely stunning 😊👍

I loved every corner of your house but was elated when I saw the Mughal floral motifs you have painted on your wall. I did the same exact thing on one of my master bedroom walls. I painted it myself and it turned out beautiful. 😍

Loved your style of decor… Recognised a few corners that I hv created in our present govt. accommodation :: Prabhavali wall, ceramic pomegranates, distressed finish on wall shelves, Rajasthani dolls etc.

I liked the canopy bedsheet.from where you bought
Its actually 2 pieces. I have used a kantha blanket as the sheet on top and a fabric embroidery toran as a bed skirt. Its just tucked under the bed.

I found in an old furniture shop here in Bangalore.
Exquisite home. Superbly maintained. How do you manage to keep the carpets clean...is it a hindrance in daily mopping and cleaning?
Thank you so much Akriti. I vacuum the carpets once every week. My house help folds it as much as she can while daily mopping. Since most of my carpets are hand knotted and not a pile, the vacuum manages to get all the dust off from even under it. Once a month we remove it completely, deep clean the carpet, mop the area well and put it back.
Im looking at this video again im simply amazed at all the curared pieces if ever you get tired of them ill send you my address.

Too many items . Very very heavy for the eye. Secondly , the arrangement of items needs a second thought.
The decor needed a bit of symmetry. It seems more like a museum than a comfortable & elegant home.
Thank you for your feedback Biswajit. The decor of a home is about the people who live in them. If its causing the people of the home inconvenience of any kind, yes it needs to change. If its working for them and they love it, another persons opinion on it doesn't matter.

a home is something where we can take proper rest and can find mental peace withour family,,,but your home is more like museum rather a home... it's articulated with too much things ,,no specific focal point , no variation in object organization,, seems too much busy for one's eye,,,,
Agree with you first point completely. You are free to organize your home the way you want. And the same goes for others. If you don't like something, don't do it. You can't tell others how they should keep their homes.
