Yes, Mercedes run the same box, but with more torque than the Jaguars produce, they are strong units, and in over 200 conversions, we have never ever had any issues at all,
917NM from this engine?? there is no way. 200NM increase is heavy! Hope it can handle all that, the SVR is my all time favorit suv, nothing else has the character of this. Would be nice to have some measuring of the acceleration. I dislike the exhaust tips, other than that fantastic car
Hi, the transmission in these is actually very strong and capable of running much higher torque. There is a hard-limit in the software from the factory of 1300nm of torque, but we don't take it anywhere near that. Running up to and around 1000nm of torque is the sweat spot for this super strong ZF transmission.
The engine is also good at this power level. Having done a lot of work on the Project 8 platform also, we know what these engines are capable of. We have tuned hundreds if not thousands of these engines across the entire J LR platform range and are very comfortable with the power we output. We tune within the limits of the engine, not to the limits of the engine as many tuners often make the mistake of doing. Always leave plenty of headroom when you are finished with your tuning and that way you look after the components in the long run. Smooth and progressive tuning is also the way :)

the 0-100 is reduced by almost 1 second. This is a monster of a vehicle.
