It’s a lot easier to space attacks when you expect them to happen, the most telling sign is based on you and your opponent positioning, stingray was able to avoid all those sideairs/ air attacks because of this and also because his opponents were repeatedly moving 1 dimensionally, most plat scythe players like to jump in the air and dair, if I saw a scythe player jump in the air I’d keep in mind they will most likely go for a dair, now just move out the way when they start approaching you

From there on it's just mental. You need to be able to win games you are losing in the moment, changing your playstyle mid-match to adapt to an opponent. You have to accept that you got hit/lost for a reason and change your approach. You will fight a lot of players who are besting you from the start, and it's on you to turn it around. Just make sure you're not blaming the game on why you got hit by a move, and always ask why. You have to correct your last mistake, Stingray made it look easy, but in my experience, you can't just steamroll into diamond like getting to plat from gold. You have to accept things, understand why they happened, and adapt, because that's how you win. Edit: Pretty vague/obvious response, but that was the only thing missing for me. You have to always correct your mistakes, don't just lose and accept it. Obviously with respect you can do so, but you have to always be in the mindset that you could have beaten this player, you just need a rematch. You will not improve drastically otherwise, it is just not enough.
