I played for a women's team in the early 1980s as a teenager and we actually had a couple of young women in the team, who had been called up to the England squad. What a different time though. Crowds were mostly made up of family and friends. So happy to see the sport getting the exposure it deserves for the women's game now. There is some serious talent in these international teams and at top league level too.
why would they not promote the fact that she's at Arsenal and let us know how to get tickets to those games?? there's quite a bit of club football to be played before next years world cup and in amongst the qualifiers. it would have taken 2 seconds to mention that and ask her how we can all continue to follow. never mind. well done to her on her amazing achievement. I think the interview missed an opportunity there though.
Equal pay in what respect? The FA give both sets of players the same payment of £2,000 per game? In the club setting, its up to the clubs to decide how much to pay. I think it needs to be UEFA/FIFA etc giving equal prize money for both men's and women's competitions. The FA cant give away more money than they get. We just need more investment in the women's game. I really hope in the future (e.g. World Cup next year) the tournament organiser gives equal prize money, so they can get equal bonuses, investment etc.
Tired? She looks bloody glowing mate!!! 👏🏼
I love you Meadooooo😍😍😍😍

Happy to see English people happy 😃
wtf
nice interview 👍
Hopefully the FA will invest more not just in grassroots football for girls/women but really consider equal pay.

@@zo7034 the FA will give each player £55,000 - totalling a whopping £1.3m pay-out. For this win, but had it been the Mens team it’d be £5m bonus.
@@RaeCharle5 Exactly, so we agree. UEFA/FIFA need to give the FA a bigger prize for winning the tournament, to hand down to the players.
