Great video and outstanding location. This may not be a problem in teaching classes in Scandinavia, but you mixed English measurements with metric. During the bow saw presentation, you mentioned 20" length material. Otherwise, great job in teaching.

Thanks from Germany for this Vid. You mentioned lots of things I could not find in other channels. You work out that knowledge so clear while explaining it that I think your way to explain it, is brilliant.
I sometimes get a little bit lost on my tours on purpose, because I hate counting steps and therefore, not reaching my aim and for having a good reason for sleeping outside. . ( Unfortunately sleeping outdoor here mostly is forbidden. )
On my next tour, next week, I am planning to walk to my girlfriend (distance 500 km) I think I will not make it in the time I have.
But I will not use a compass for this walk. Only sun and stars because I noticed on a former small trip that I was really off the line when orientating just with the sun. I need a little bit practising it.
In the night with clear sky it is pretty easy to keep the course.
Youve got all the lines to follow from constellations even if parts of the heaven is cloudy.
To show how to find polaris from different constellations I ve got a video in work how to find polaris from the twins, the auriga, the orion, the swan, the vega and so on. Its the same way how to find Polaris from the big dipper.
If you have got further knowledge about orientating without a compass probably you could make a video about this topic. What about wind, clouds, etc. Half moon is said to point nearly south. Belt of the Orion too. But I dont know if that is true. All the best from about 51°5 N 7°6 E
Thanks again for this brilliant video.

Finally got around to watching this. CoVid sucks, but life goes on (if you lived through it). The camaraderie and bonding that develops during these forays and challenges is obvious in the award ceremony at the end of the video. Very cool, and I'm betting these dudes keep in touch. Four days together, overcoming adversity, being dependent upon your fellows, and helping each other, will do that. It's gratifying to see the hugs at the end. I'm sure the gentleman who earned the challenge coin at the end was grateful and humbled.
Keep up the good work, y'all.

Hey man i was wondering what was going on because you hand not released a video in a while.. but of course you were living it and that is time... I got a lot out of this video. it was worth the wait. (so was the navigation video) since it is not likely i will make it to one of those Self-reliance/Pathfinder School classes it was great to see one from start to finish like this. It makes me think about what i already know what experience i have already and of course what i need to sharpen and learn. Thanks to you guys, I am being challenged mentally to prep fore instance like a natural disaster, or an emergency. Gathering the tools i have already and applying them to new tasks. Watching and learning how less is more, (yea i know oxymoron) One thing is for sure you need wood working skills, Bushcraft is partially wood working, knowing how to use natural materials to make some of the tools and luxuries we have in our day to day lives. One thing is fore sure i am going to be smoothing it for sure .. Thank you Corporal K, you are bringing the Pathfinder School to people that may never get a chance to attend... Never doubt the value of what you teach i am watching and learning .. thank you for all your efforts, After watching the navigation video i realized i should have commented here so there you have it J
