Most ARs were viable, famas was the go to from day 1 though. Black Ops 2 had significantly better balance, a variety of smgs and ARs were good, as well as the LSAT lmg being strong

Dude the nostalgia actually hurts... I know exactly what you mean. That eagerness to get out of class/practice to get on live and have fun with my friends and waiting in line at midnight to get cod. Boy have things went way down hill I can say I religiously played all the way from cod 1 on that rickety boat heading to shore( if you know you know) but haven't played since ghost probably. It's sad what they let happen to our beloved series...
They patched the crap out of the smg's because they were out preforming Assault rifles and Lmg's at medium ranges. Some of them still have their pre-patch damage but the drop off is down quite a bit though.
HK21 was the best LMG in game san's maybe the Stoner 63. Only thing that made the Stoner better was it's ROF. But it actually had a lower damage range and was not as consistent across the board. Uzi didn't really have bad recoil but yes it was a hip fire machine. Run with Rapid Fire and it doesn't have time to recoil hardly at all. The Uzi's biggest problem was it suffered from a "where does this fit" into the SMG category. Similar to guns like the MPL but not quite as good either. Overall it was a very middle of the road SMG and found it to be far better than it got credit for but not my first choice. MAC-11 was an amazing gun when you started using it. Yes the 20 shot magazine was it's drawback but it's ROF was up there with the Kiparis, PM-63, and the other high ROF SMG's. Poor damage range overall but it could spit the rounds out so fast at times you pretty much never notice. But up close it was a machine... HS-10 when dual wielding is pointless truly... However, just running one it wasn't that bad. Had more range than the Stakeout, could 1 hit kill like the Stakeout, less range and capacity than the SPAS-12 but SPAS-12 could not 1 hit kill short of a headshot at near point blank ranges. Overall I found it to be the best shotgun in the game when used properly. The SPAS-12's damage by comparison resulted in more shots at longer and shorter ranges that it's capacity advantage was lost even when facing multiple enemies. Shotguns in general were not the greatest in BO1 though. While I do like the Dragunov as a rifle in the real world it was pretty crap in game. The only advantage I saw it having compared to the WA-2000, PSG-1, and L96 was capacity. All of those 3 could 1 hit kill easier and had better accuracy and recoil but IF you got a hit marker for ANY reason, that's where the Dragunov would shine with a follow up shot and higher capacity. I have seen some amazing games from people with it before but generally, you would do better with every other sniper.
Uzi's biggest problem was definitely its ADS. Takes up half of your screen and you can't see shit. Coupled with high recoil, if you ever went ADS it was like closing your eyes.
I vividly remember playing SnD with the Mac 11 and suppressor on Crisis and this kid losing his mind. “Bro you seriously gonna keep using that dildo gun!” 🤣 good times
Man I miss maps like Crisis with verticality and positions to hold down. Seems like nowadays you're playing in a blender, move move move. A sniper should never do well running around.
Black Ops 1 will always be special for me. The writing was on the wall after that. I still remember going 96-5 using nothing but a Mac-11 in one game of Domination. Made my first few online buddies to play CoD with after that game. That was my favourite gun and getting accused of hacking all the time just because I was good with it was always a huge compliment and a good laugh.
I've always liked the Dragunov. Especially in COD4 where you could run it with Juggernaut just fine. The MW3 version was one of the worst guns in COD history though.

HS10 dual wield is actually insane. You just have to run Steady Aim and preferably lightweight and or Marathon. Then you have an absolute death Cannon with insanely High damage. I think with that combo, it's actually the best shotgun in the game. Like you can run this spas12 with either Steady Aim to make it a deadly shotgun, or sleight of hand to account for the slow reload. Hs10 s accommodate for both of these by just reload canceling during the animation, which will give you a full clip in a very short amount of time
It's amazing how such an old game is far superior to Cold War. Black ops 1 was truly a Masterpiece and the gunplay was perfect, guns had recoil and you needed actual skill to use then, that's why many people just sticked to the easier guns like the Famas, but even the Famas had a bit of recoil too!

Crazy how 1 million people are still playing. I fucking loved black ops 1. Used to be on multiplayer during the day and zombies allllllllll night. Great times.
The HK 21 the more I prestiged the more I got to enjoy the weapon. Ended up getting a nice amount of kills with it. It was very good with the hardened perk. The Uzi with hipfire perk and rapid fire attachment, cleaned up on the smaller levels imo. I only used the other weapons featured if the came up on the challenges.
I actually loved the hk21. I loved playing gun game because I was really good at it, and the wagers were a blast. But whenever I got the hk21 in gun game i remember it always performed well
I found it funny that when he was talking about the single HS10 and how no one uses it and he kept switching over to his FAMAS instead of using that shotgun. Goes to show when he's trying to use guns no one uses even he can't keep to that gun.
I actually used to love the hk on zombies. Id always keep hitting the box till i had the hk, ray gun, and either the thunder gun or the Galil or the commando or something like that
This list is pretty accurate some more unused guns I think would be the M1 makarov ASP and launchers only time you sometimes see launchers though was when you swap to a class with it just to destroy a killstreak
Akimbo HS10's were my absolute jam!! People would try and trash talk after I slayed with them, but all I had to say was "they're HS10's..." and they just had to take their embarrassment and scramble for comebacks 🤣
I was more of stakeout with reload cancelling. Also miss the days of jitter modding shotguns, the killcams were hilarious as it's like a rapid fire hitscan version of noob tubes in shotgun form.

I remember getting Bo1 back in 2010 when I was 15 years old ,time flies
Went 22-1 with the draugnov in s&d once lol
Crazy how 1 million people are still playing. I fucking loved black ops 1. Used to be on multiplayer during the day and zombies allllllllll night. Great times.
Loved so many of those classic sounds! Good stuff, man! 👍🏻
The HK 21 the more I prestiged the more I got to enjoy the weapon. Ended up getting a nice amount of kills with it. It was very good with the hardened perk.
The Uzi with hipfire perk and rapid fire attachment, cleaned up on the smaller levels imo.
I only used the other weapons featured if the came up on the challenges.
i used every sub other than the kiparis, uzi, and mac11. the pm63 and mpl were heavily slept on
I actually loved the hk21.
There's so much character and charm in the older games. The new ones just feel like lifeless clones of eachother
I used to wreck kids with the PM63. It was my favorite smg
I played Black ops 1 last night and it was a lot of fun, brought back so many many memories.
Nothing better than coming home from training and having a fortunate video to watch while relaxing. Thank you for your great work, keep it up!
