*(( 1st ))* *Annnnd what do we got? Another Tomo-sureshot!* Now, a few observations and a question -- -- I actually miss the more animated visuals, which brings me to what I consider missed opportunities on these famous cuts. . . 0:28 -- That Sonovox "WHOOP-EEEE!" is _DYING_ for a visual accompaniment followed up with that signature rotating flash-out. 0:38 -- The OPENING of that cut is begging for some lively visuals to go along with that exciting flourish, especially for that down-rolling organ. Then, going back to what I said about the more animated visuals, at 2:18, I couldn't help but think you may have been a bit somewhat slightly fatigued in the process of putting this together. I do hope all is well on your side, good man. Now, clearly, it's not lost upon me that more of the animated visuals are found toward the end, but I couldn't leave the great experience of this video without presenting some constructive critique. As for my question, what is the name of that semi-deep-voiced singer who does the famous "cool throw" solo cuts like the one at 1:17. And was that him pictured on that slide? And finally -- hearing THAT at 5:21. . . is something I can imagine not even the most die-hard PAMS enthusiast would ever come to expect!
Spooky. It's spooky what you said about the "WHOOP-EEE!" line because the other night it kept bugging me- what can I do with that?????? And then, because it was like 4am, I thought, just leave it alone LOL. (are you reading my mind or something?) Well all of this is blowing me away because, to be honest, I didn't think anyone was watching, lol! Even more surprising, it seems you literally are looking into my mind and seeing exactly how and what way all the wheels are spinning! I like the detailed suggestions, critiques and I'm actually surprised you caught on that Series 18 videos (and for the matter, Series 25) are getting limited visual tricks. I love the old television station ids and promos, especially from early 60s to the mid 70s. Even though these are jingles for radio, I always thought, what if they ran these jingles on television as a way to promote the radio station? So I'm kinda copying what those old school tv slides/promos looked like. TV station ids/promos in the early 60s usually were a single, solitary slide with an almost minimalist look: a cut-and-paste image of whoever was the star of a show and very industrial-looking typeface, nothing fancy. I like that look and I went with that whole aesthetic with Series 18 and 25. NOW, on the other hand, saying all of that DOES give me a way to rationalize not doing all the crazy transitions, wipes, and animation I get into with the PAMS stuff from Series 27 onward, because THOSE jingles- there's no way I'd feel like I was doing them justice by sticking up one picture! But LORD, it DOES get mind-numbing doing all those animations, and Series 29 is the worst because those jingles are nothing but high-octane energy!!!!! (But honestly, I really enjoy the work!) So, I'm reading and re-reading your critiques. And I probably will use them in the next go-round of Series 18 jingle videos- but I've got about 3 others that I did already so the changes won't show up for some time. OH- Jim Clancy, I believe, is the man with the deep voice you hear at 1:17 AND... yeah, 5:21, the sonovox line at the end completely caught me off guard! Thanks for the comments, observations and commentary. Made this a very FUN Friday!
@@Tomovox_PAMS_Radio_JIngles -- What can I say? Great creative minds DO think alike after all, you know. And hey,. . . FUN is what radio is supposed to be, isn't it? And I'm here for ALL of it! Looking forward to the future vids! *LONG LIVE THE **_ART_** OF CLASSIC RADIO!*
