Haven't tried the grilled balut, would like to try one it must be yummy. You're good in making friends, whether with the Filipinos and those of other countries.

seungha the grilled balut they were serving is different now, it used to be cooked in the eggshell but because of health food hazards they stopped doing it ( some only)

2 baluts in 1 night. And a foreigner at that. And you went out looking for it, not forced or anything. It’s interesting you enjoy the classic and unadulterated better. Which is cool! And the people you met are so nice too and also actually eat balut. Just be careful coz your cholesterol levels will go high, so better offset it with healthier food the next day.
When you go looking for balut, that shows you're now legit part Filipino. 😀

Original balut is the best. No preparation needed. But have you tried fried balut? How about adobong balut? Do you think it go well with kimchi, like, as kimchi balut?

Seungha, I noticed when I watched your travel adventures/food adventures and tried different filipino dishes, I felt that you are very honest about whether the food you ate is really good, or you don't bet too much. I dont like grilled balut. The original taste is still better. Balut + Vinegar + Salt combination is perfect
