The tension on sewing machine is loose needs adjusting , I think you need a size 14 needle the one you used is a bit large thus making seam holes big, as a general rule I always get scraps of fabric to get the right tension ! I’m like you if I do something it’ll eat on me till I redo right , this is a learning lesson! I expect you will do better ! Great tutorial!
