Where I live we actually have commercials advertising the odd shaped fruit and veggies. We buy them all the time. Absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I've eaten a bell pepper like an apple before. But it was because we were in a hurry leaving our vacation home and there was a bell pepper left over. But yeah, nothing wrong with doing that.
I get veggies from Misfit Market so I am used to finding odd vegetables. The only one that wouldn't work is the bell pepper if you were getting them in order to make stuffed peppers.

If he hasn't already been tested, Link should see if he is a supertaster. Some people have really sensitive taste buds and cannot stand foods that others find tasty. Some flavors are just overwhelming.
