In November 2006, Google acquired RUclips for $1.65 billion in stock, recognizing its potential as a powerful social and marketing tool. This acquisition fueled RUclips's growth, allowing it to introduce features like the Partner Program, which enabled content creators to monetize their videos through ads.
Over the years, RUclips has evolved significantly, introducing live streaming, 4K video support, RUclips Red (now RUclips Premium), and RUclips TV. It has become a platform for diverse content, including vlogs, educational videos, music, gaming, and more. Today, RUclips boasts over 2 billion logged-in monthly users and has become an integral part of global culture, shaping trends and providing a voice for millions.
