Seton hall definitely deserved to make the big dance but 5 different mid teams won their conference tourney for automatic bid. This pushed seton hall out of tourney
@@ilovegod7539 SEC usually doesn't get too much love, they just did this year, but Big Ten consistently gets the most love from selection committee...and the Big Ten would've had even more teams selected, if that conference didn't have only one real bad team....making it almost impossible for the other Big Ten teams to have good enough records....both Michigan State (that got in for the 27th straight year) and Nebraska, didn't deserve to be selected over the 4th best team from the best conference. Usually Big East and ACC are consistently the best conferences, but the Big Ten teams get proped up pre-season rankings, thus, increasing the SOS of all their teams so the selection committe can say "their schedule was tougher".
Seton hall controlled their own destiny going into the big east tournament, and they did not get it done. They deserve a lot of credit for bouncing back after that big St. John’s blowout loss, and then playing some of their best basketball of the year during the NIT tournament.
That stinks! I actually like both teams, but I am from nearby Illinois so I wanted ISU to win. Congrats to Seton Hall, and to ISU on making the final. So sad ISU didn't score in the final Three (3) minutes being up seven (7) points and only losing by two (2) points. Horrible.

I love the emotion shown by both teams. This is why I will never call the NIT a joke. It truly means a lot to these guys.

The Big East got screwed after Connecticut wins the national title I would love to see any of the UConn players say St John's is better than Purdue.
