Please keep me in mind to see much more of what your doing to do to this truck. I wish I could be in your garage working side by side helping to get this truck ready to put back on the road once again. Really love what your doing here. EXCELLENT!! EXCELLENT!!
Awesome job on the backing plates. I do exactly the same process on rusted out motorcycle gastanks (except for the "crud castrator" 🙂. Big thanks for an entertaining video!!
Suggestion: I see that you do have a john deere tractor sittin in the back corner. Use your head, save your hair, use fitch shampoo! Take your tractor loader bucket and raisd the frame up in the air when taking the rear end out and moving it to the side. Then move your bracket underneath the frame as you wish to do. Let the hydraulics of the tracter lend you a helping hand since your doing this by yourself. Safty has no quitting time.
@@kentuckyyankeerealise this wasn’t the first choice however I’d prefer to rip the bandaid off. Much easier to do all this now that have been running around in it and always be putting the inevitable off.
Man! That acid worked well! You could also try using electrolisis to remove rust in hard to get to places if you've got a battery charger, kiddy pool/barrel or bucket and some washing soda.
Another great episode. Rust removal so tricky. Looking good. I’ve never heard of that milkstone acid. Did a great job. Im so curious about your background. Obviously for your nickname and accent you are from New England? Maybe New Hampshire? And I wonder if you have farming in your background. Did you work as a mechanic? Just curious. You have so many different skills. Enjoy your channel.

How about those big "8"-shaped rubber helper springs? Ever see those on anything else? I never found any "new" ones for sale. Fortunately it'll carry a lot of weight before they start to touch and compress.
Maybe your best series yet!
Thanks Moped Wizard !!
I have a lot of old memories in an old Datsun like that!
Cool old truck, I'm excited to get it on the road!
Love the Datsun work your doin brother.
Thank you!
Nicw job in Datsun Kentucky!!

Good call on the bump stops
Couldn't risk it

Thank you! Yeah the acid is great for gas tanks

Going well Benny! Will be interesting to see how the frame turns out in the end!
Thanks! I've got a lot of work ahead of me before we find out! 😂😂
Here you go…..hurray…… this will keep me busy for most of the summer
I'm afraid it may be longer than that!! 😂😂
Looks like the frame won that round of Jenga! Rust castration tools look the biz. 💯 on the quick dry no sense letting any flash rush get a foothold
Even with the tools it's still gonna take a lot of time and work, not looking forward to it so much. lol

Thanks! Yes, some farming, always been a mechanic, and you're close I'm from upstate NY originally.

Oy, the ol needle gun! The musical instrument not by choice of e3 and below squids!
Fair enough... 😂😂
👍
the acid its very time-effort saving, will you use sandblast for the remaning parts?
Yes, the acid works well. I think i will have to fire up the sandblaster unfortunately, it's certainly not my favorite piece of equipment.

I've never seen any like that either, pretty cool tho.
