For game of chaos (~37:00): Life totals are only checked on resolution, so no one actually dies until someone decides to stop flipping. So the winner can still choose to continue even if their opponent is dead. If the dead player wins, they're back in the game (and the other is now dead), but this can continue. With agreement, this can theoretically go to one player at infinite-ish life and the other super dead (but not a deterministic amount, so you need to play it out fully).

    • @therealax6

More usefully, if you're being targetted by an effect on the stack that will deal a lot of damage to you (and, for some reason, you cannot target its controller with Game of Chaos), you can keep going to gain enough life to survive the damage. But it's risky, of course.

Lmao, appreciate the approach of going all in on the chaos theme. That was insane and mad respect to Toffel for keeping the chaos in tact with his deep knowledge of rules. Also really awesome to see Crim join for yet another video..!! He makes for a great addition in the pod and appreciate that he made it all the way to Germany for this occasion.
But I do have a lil' nitpick here, as feedback for future videos. The fact that you all run the same decks, results in so many instances or even stacks of similar effects and triggers, that it overall feels very repetitive for a commander game as an end result. Also, this way it's more about getting the rules right, which kind of contradicts the idea of letting chaos rule. So if you ever wanna do a commander chaos round again, my suggestion would be to go with different archtypes of chaos decks or at least different decklists to avoid repetitiveness and maintain the singleton charm of commander.

Yay! My favorite kind of Magic! Way back in the day I was peer pressured to take knowledge pool out of my norin chaos deck.

Played these decks (Deck?) With only one sub (exchanged Disrupt Decorum with Abyssal Persecutor) and the game almost didn't end, the chaos was pure brainbending Fun! Loved this episode, and love the decks!

I can only assume Crim is experiencing a normal German problem which is a lack of air conditioning and it's not that he was sweating profusely because he was super nervous for being caught tricking everyone!

Yes poor Crim came during a heatwave and no AC in Germany took some getting used to 😅

Not sure if was mentioned, but Thieves Auction EXILES the permanent. The Knowledge Pool would have lost its cards and there would have been ETB triggers.
