You need far more subs. To watch you and your commentary pay attention and any young pilot watching( I'm still young I think.) "you never stop knowing your weather never ever skip your checks" or something along that line . You are a great pilot
Awesome video, spent 5 years working with helicopters forest topdressing as a loader driver , grew up with a father in the industry working for Barr Bros flying Fletchers then started his own business Spraying and topdressing with helicopters awesome times
Oh men, that looks out very nice!! In Germany you would never be able to do this, but I really like those aerobatics to see! :) Stay healthy everyone and greets from Germany!!
@@bryceoconnor9640 In Germany, you mostly doesn't have the access to fly that low. Also, our fields aren't that big and we got many powerlines through and around the fields. So our laws and politicans doesn't like cropdusting. 😔 But sometimes, choppas get used to spread lime over the woods or pesticides to protect them. You’re a very smooth pilot. Great flying. I have a question. Why do I see pilots flying from the right hand side of the cockpit in some crop dusting aircraft, Fletchers in particular?
When I was undergoing pilot training, my dream job was to fly the air tractors. My mum and all my relatives all assume i want to become an airline pilot, which I never said I would. Unfortunately, got diseases, health deteriorated a bit and wont be able to pass my CASA medical anymore :( (I'm also unsuited in general as a safe pilot due to many other reasons, like I'm really bad at communicating and I don't think well in the heat of the moment, turns out i have a mental disability) But well that's 65k debt in 2015s money and 20k in savings down the drain, just like that. Now I'm living a minimum wage job in a shitty townhouse, but at least I can play video games, I guess.
Fantastic video mate. Would love to see that irl and not only on yt. Impressive flying skills also - very calming to watch. ;) Greetings from Austria and pls keep up the good work.👌🏼
Everyday you fly the aircraft at a specific altitude and power settings. We write down the gauge readings. This gives a trend on the engine, which helps identify any issues before they become an issue 😎
How many hours can you go between fuel stops in that Cresco, Jimbo? With all that payload and being pretty much on the gas the entire flight, I'd suspect you're 2-3 hours max between fuel stops. Looks like really intense flying so I'd imagine you're spent after 2 hours anyway😂.
G'day Jimbo. I've just discovered your channel. Starting back in Lukla Nepal. Great episodes btw. Some comments refer to you as Jimbo, Jim or James. Let's go with James. I know only 2 James or Jim. One was the son of my cousin, who has sadly passed away. The other was my uncle who as a tail gunner in a Stirling during WW2 was shot down along with the rest of his 8 man crew, and is buried in the La Baule war cemetery in France. If you are that James, we are obviously related. I'd love to chat with you about the other Jim. Maybe check out photos we've taken at the cemetery. Sorry mate to message you this way, but I don't have a PM address for you. Atb Bryan.
If I was to guess - would love to hear Jimbo confirm/correct - it’s because that better reflects the single control setup in Fletchers and Crescos, ie the throttle quadrant is at the correct (left) hand.
Hi Jim. I think if you posted long (probably what some would consider boring) videos you might find a lot of views there? I re watch your videos everytime I progress in my RPL :)
Any one has a photo of John Barth Cessna At wagon at all. Like to paint my flying model after. His craft What flew on our farm were Auster Agricda. ZKCCU
Thats a bit ambitious isnt it? Need a big drone to lift 1800 kg. Nope i doubt it would be cheaper. And anyway Im sure Jimbo is well paid but I doubt he is over paid.
Visitors to jimbos house: wow, what an extensive library you've got.
Jimbo: Nah, they're just my log books.
Haha 😄
Well done young fella,my father did over300,000 take offs and landings in his time as an ag pilot.Just over20,000 hrs from 1951 to 1972
Wow, hope you get paid the big bikkies for that work, I had sweaty palms just watching lol!
All the best mate!

I could watch this all day awesome flying mate 😎
Pure happiness , best of both: a passion for flying that is a job which you truly enjoy!

Great flying.
I have a question.
Why do I see pilots flying from the right hand side of the cockpit in some crop dusting aircraft, Fletchers in particular?
My father used to train topdressing pilots in NZ for James Aviation. This brings back a lot of memories.
Very informative videos jumbo , nice smooth flying look forward to more
Really interesting seeing what actually goes on in the cockpit & how easy you make it look - Subscribed.
I would love to swap my 1900 job out of Hartsfield with you! Great flying!
Great going mate! You beat me with your 100, I only did 96 in Wark Forest UK, with my 188! :-) But that was in 1973! :-)
Good effort! That'd be great to watch
Awesome job mate something I always wanted to do ... maybe one day
Another great video
Great to see some more content 👍
Again thanks.
Awesome stuff jimbo
That is amazing! Two of us did 122 in one day doing 100# urea. Would have been more but we finished and moved to another site.
That's a good effort on Urea!
Another great video James.

The last of the real pilots
Great video!
Good job Mate, you do not seem to have too many engine out options at that location though, typical Ag environment :-)
Great video Jim.. was wondering who which top dressing firm you fly for?
Love your vids mate!

Move over Lukla... They do 1-2 flights a day and call that outstanding.
Look at all that mud!!!
this is the absolute craziest flying i have ever seen... where do i sign up
whats the deal with the tag on the dash?
Cheers mate. "A trend a day keeps engineers happy" That is talking about paperwork we need to do. Grizzly engineers 😆
@@JimboBurgess cheers for the info but what’s the ‘trend’

Wow !!! im making not more than 5 flights a day ,,,,, 100 its absolutely out standing
That's a lot landings being nailed bruh.
Looks like hard work and tremendous fun..
I'm sure others have asked, but how come you fly from the RHS?
This video answers your question plus a few others too 😎 ruclips.net/video/TzY579oxkCw/видео.html

Thanks! So basically it's so you can feel more like a fighter pilot? :-)
Haha, bingo! 😆
jim,do you have to adjust for itt and torque when take off and landing and is the prop constant?cheers for excellent videos.
Cheers mate. Cold mornings we have to watch our Torque- it can be easy to over torque, and hot days our ITT can exceed MCP 👍
I want this job!!!
Nice!
Mate not sure you've got enough fuses. More fuses would be good.

The Cresco can go up to 2.5hrs. I normally only put enough for 1-1.5hrs flying. That's about when I need a pit stop 😁
Jimbo , What is the noise level like with the Cresco compared to the Fletcher 400?
The Cresco is quieter inside and out for sure... BUT the Fletcher sounds a helluva lot better! 😎
omg that's a runway?
You bet! 😁
How much rudder peddle do you have use ,when you are using betta
If we are going full reverse, then a noticeable amount. On a typical landing, bugger all 😎

Your uncle lived through a very historical and frightening time! Cheers for your message 👍
What crops are you fertilizing here? I commented on another vid too, if you responded there disregard!!
Putting fert on grass 😎
What are some of your closest calls with dusting?
Had far too many!
100 loads a day was acceptable.
One question, why do you sit in the right seat?
If I was to guess - would love to hear Jimbo confirm/correct - it’s because that better reflects the single control setup in Fletchers and Crescos, ie the throttle quadrant is at the correct (left) hand.
Great question, Brody. Zac sums it up nicely. More natural controls- joystick in right hand and throttle quadrant in left 🤠
100 flights? Do you mark this as 100 separate in your log book or all as one.
I don't write my loads in my logbook. Though I'm sure they're recorded somewhere in the flying logs :)

That is soo stupid to say. Those military big drones cost 50 million plus dollars. Ignorance is too bold.
