Actually monsters are very different from a demon. A monster is just a supernatural being, they can be good or bad. But demons are servants of the devil, they are naturally evil. Also pay closer attention to the lyrics: Humans betrayed us and left us burning. One day we’ll make our way bare to the surface. Through your travels your sin will follow. Your consequences aren’t easy to swallow. Who’s the real monster monster now you should know. You’ll cut this story down to the bone. These lyrics clearly states that monsters were the victim. That humans were the oppressor.

He sees a potential threat. And only that. And what they need to do with a threat? Kill it. In KNY both Muzan and the slayers corps are basically making killing machines to fight with each other(Muichiro, for example. His life is basically just work for the corps.). It is just that the corps are "the good guys" and demons are "the bad guys" for the humanity. In UnderTale it was not clear who started the war in the first place and why, but since Asgore was quite peaceful before Chara and Asriel's deaths, I can assume that humans did start the war. And that so, I said that Rengoku being the definition of humanity in UnderTale. Any more questions? Or you are going to use more fanon things?
