Im just a few years younger but my neighbors must know I'm a huge fan. Especially in the summer when my windows are open or the car roof down. She's like sunshine even on the gloomy days!
If we apply an Aesopian lens to these humble words it suddenly sounds like a hymn of dawning new age of hope - "I don't need you anymore". No better way to say it really.
Cher lives life on her terms listening to no one but herself. She does not try to please others outside of being an amazing genuine human being. Even when she spoke publicly about her daughter now son she was so relatable to so many struggling parents that is why she is so loved and cherished. Always humble she is going to leave a huge mark when we lose her one day as we can't keep her here to sing for us forever. Many blessings to artists as humble as she has been throughout her career.
