Man, I cried watching this documentary. I still don't believe that these kinds of cruel people lives in Pakistan. In my family, all of my relatives including my father, chacho, Mamo, phupha, etc...loves and looks after their daughters more than their sons.

We are six sisters and no brother and I am proud of my parents despite wanting or trying for a certain wish they raised us no less than the sons and educated us. We do more than most boys would do for their families. Alhamdulillah

Most of the men blame women for giving birth to a daughter or they refuse to accept the child. Atleast, they gave their daughters basic education, raised them well and made them independent so that they never need a man to feed themselves.

It's Crazy to think that this documentary was only for Karachi. Imagine how is it in the whole country.
May be it is worst in Lahore and Islamabad because of their open culture in such relationships.
This is the one thing that the video gets wrong. Most of it is not due to haram relationships, it's because of the stupid shadi culture and jahalat in our country. Most of these babies are coming from married couples. Karachi is a slum and there's more poverty that's why it's the hub of this act.

Revealing a child's sex via ultrasound before birth is completely banned in India. They should do the same in Pakistan. But who follows laws there anyways lol.
Actually it's kind of banned here too specially in govt hospitals. When i tried to ask my private doctor about my 3rd child when i was expecting her, she kept avoiding telling me. Idk how doctors are not responsible enough to maintain transparency.

I'm the only child of my parents girl child.
I face sometimes too much abuse and violence from my father. I literally hate him. He is not fulfilling any responsibility. Because of him I faced severe depression. I'm trying hard to study and be independent. Then I'll leave the house and will stay alone. Well I'm still alone. I hate men like this.

I have overcome similar circumstances and I'm 30 years old now with a good career and earning. I am taking care of my mom as well. So Take it from me. Build a good career for yourself. When you'll become independent, life will get so much better inshallah. You are not a helpless girl. You'll become a strong independent woman. Protect your peace of mind. Read good books and novels. And search about different career options for yourself and accordingly make your choices. Please not spend time ruminating about what all you have lost. Stay more focused on how you want your future to look like. And when you are finally independent and making your own money, work on yourself to undo all the past trauma. After my taya had 4 sons, my dadi and whole family prayed deliberately for a girl. My relatives used to say that how my father disturbed mithai to whole neighborhood. Even today, my dad and everyone loves me the same way and even more than my brothers. It is considered a blessing in our family to have first child as a daughter.

- The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever has three daughters or three sisters, or two daughters or two sisters, and he keeps good company with them and fears Allah in their treatment, then Paradise is for him." (Tirmidhi, Book 27, Hadith 1912)
- The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of treating daughters equally and kindly. He said, "Whosoever has a daughter and he does not bury her alive, does not insult her, and does not favor his son over her, Allah will enter him into Paradise." (Ahmad)
- It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Daughters are a mercy and sons are a bounty. Mercy will be rewarded, and bounty will be questioned." (Al-Bazzar)

Literacy rate is not a measure of maturity. Apnay dekha nahi? Jis shohar nay apni biwi ko dhakka diya, woh parha likha bhi tha aur uska apna business bhi tha. Literacy barhanay say tameez aur morals nahi paida hotay. Literacy rate kay saath saath social issues pay education dena, aur deeni talimaat ko include karna zaruri hai.

These are just examples of how Islam cared for girl children. The care mentioned in these hadiths and others is comprehensive. It covers the girls’ physical, emotional and mental needs.
Such is the care and affection that our daughters deserve. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commands us to be loving, patient and supportive parents.

After watching the first 5 minutes i can tell you guy's did excellent job but i swear i would have grow humongous ballz to finish this. I can't i just can't finish this. There use to be same issue in India, and it is still there but has been almost eliminated by just 1 law.

It isn't allowed here too since a few years. I know this cz when i was expecting, my doctor was hesitant to tell me. And i learnt that it is not allowed in govt hospitals. Ppl don't follow rules though
