Nishida makes example how defend the line correctly - one foot out of court

@@rickilinope5335It kinda gives you a better sense of whether the ball will get out or not. If you have your foot on the line when defending the line and you have to actually move to that side, most of the time the ball would went outside

@@LgndzRBS and it also gives you the right position to receive the ball in a situation where you can't actually tell if the ball is in or out.

He also took into account that his teammate did not touch the ball when blocking

For those saying that ball hit his foot, look closely at the spin of the ball after it bounces. There is no change from the topspin of the ball meaning that the ball didnt change course from once it was hit. It might have been close but the ball didn’t hit Nishida’s foot.

      That's a great explanation bro

This is true. This is what roger federer expalined in one of his games where rhe umpire didnt see that the ball bounced twice already. And roger said something about the movement of the ball (topspin).

Have you ever spun a basketball and let it bounce? The spin makes it change direction. Also if it hit his foot it wouldn't have gone straight back.

      映像では当たってる様に見えますが、ギリギリ当たってないですね。
      もし当たってたらボールの軌道はもっと違っていたと思います。
