Bibinga is a snack. It's Like Rice Cake ( made of rice flour ). The Red Egg shell is just coloring. Red eggs are also popular in Southern China & Vietnam. I buy the Vietnamese Red Eggs here in California from Asian Supermarkets.
The salted eggs are usually duck eggs. They are colored to differentiate them from the regular chicken eggs. If you like seafood, try going to Dampa in Pasay. It is a seafood market, where you pick any types of seafood. Next to the vendors, there's a bunch of restaurants where you can take your seafood to. These restaurants will cook them for you, you will tell them how you want it cooked, or they will suggest some dish. Usually foreigners are taken here to experience the fresh seafood.
@@yooyeonsoomin They are, specially when they see foreigners. Most bring a local friend that can haggle the price. But it's nice to walk around and take some shots. I have some on my recently uploaded video (Manny.namnam) which are just random shots I took last year. If you have the money, it is a nice way to enjoy some fresh seafood.
I am Filipino but I never liked bibingka. I prefer puto bumbong but i like it with real butter not margarine that they use. It is good that we have a weekend food market in the condo where I live and i bring real butter and use it in puto bumbong. As for the pandan drink, they use brown sugar or muscovado i think hence the brown colour. Thanks for the video. I feel like I am missing the Philippines again.
