I'm a big fan of Yuffie as almost all her weapons have been really solid and she is fun to play. She was my first wind and earth arcanum so built out from that but can't complain at almost any weapon she has had. I will be missing this one myself as well though, already got the wind arcanum costume so for the extra wind potency I believe it's worth saving for other stuff. I would definitely like to build the weapon over time and get her ultimate weapon too, mdef and wind res down is awesome utility and could free up the healer to do other things as you'd not even need floral wand then.
I think Yuffie always delivers indeed! I’m not a fan of her as a character but in this game she is top tier for sure! I didn’t get her previous Wind outfit so I’m going to try to skip on this one as well, we’ll see! If you already have the previous one then this indeed seems like an easy skip, I don’t think this is as urgent as other things coming up like the next limited banner when Cid drops, which quite likely will have R. abilities that affect all the party and would work better as stats stick 🚀
As an FYI, the max/multiple OB update is scheduled for late December based on notice from a month or so ago. As for the banner, i have her Diner costume and still went in on this for Titan and future content. This weapon allows for a double dps/healer set up.

I regret not pulling on her ice costume now, with her ult she is really good now. Also if I already have her previous wind arcanum costume would I be crazy to choose Lucia's costume instead since they buffed her costume and I have her earth weapon at OB10 (which allows Matk at level 7 with costume + weapon)
Lucia’s not bad, I’d still suggest saving tho as MATK as the first ability in an outfit feels dated. Saving until more banner drops is a good option, as there isn’t any Earth event running at the moment, and maybe the next two banners would be better? You can always go for it before the banner ends if the next two aren’t that great!
I think it's a great banner. Magical wind was the only element I had no arcanum for so it was a must pull for me. I pulled the first page and got to OB1. I might go for the second page as the extra weapons and Lucia's costume would be useful but I will wait to see the next banner. This costume is great for both magical and physical. She also has an offhand weapon that has attack and wind potency. This makes Yuffie the best wind unit in the game. Both of her weapons are featured so will get to OB10 eventually.
Love this! I agree she is now the best wind unit because she can do both, physical or magical, so she is the most versatile! I also think is a good idea as you said to wait for the next banners before going for Lucia’s, I think we are about to see something super cool coming up shortly
Was able to hit level 8 wind easily with the weapon only ob6 - used her boost attack wind weapon in offhand. And in the back I put floral powersoul and bahamut claws - this is a conservative build I will use often nottttt like min maxed - it has the matk all and the hp survivability worked in.
This is what I’m talking about! Whoever goes for this outfit is going to be hitting super hard because of the stats if we go for min maxing even without having the best dps weapon!
This costume is sooo good I almost regret pulling on her previous wind arcanum because this one you can use for both magical and physical, but I did get some good use of her previous wind arcanum so can't complain. Wish I could refund it now though 🤣
If you got the previous one, the Arcanum still works, so you are great, with time you can get this weapon as it would be featured so saving could bring you better options like in the limited banner when Cid drops in January, or in the next 2 banners that will drop in December!
The weapon is just support, and a 4 ATB at that. It sucks as a DPS weapon. However, like you said, we highly suspect Titan will need Mag Wind and we only have Aerith for that for now, so I expect more “pull to win” banners before him. They even announced Titan will come at Christmas. As such, they are pushing for this being the second Mag Wind weapon, but the weapon itself will become overshadowed pretty quick with a proper DPS weapon. The weapon is a bad DPS weapon and at the same time a bad support weapon as it has 4 ATB and starts at low. Gear is fine, but entirely shippable if you have the previous Wind Arcanum one. Now, the 62/39 is good as a stat stick, I agree, the issue is, we had it with Canyon Collar, but we actually miss 31/52 to push Wind potency. It is definitely better than a 46/39 sure. Overall this is the first banner that is actually entirely shippable even for a whale, especially if you have the previous stuff. Personally, I went for the outfit… to get Lucia’s that I was missing :P But… yes, Conformer is OP. 7 is redundant as you will never have “empty” ATB, but sure it is there to pop and max it, and yes 2k per pop is a mini-limit break. But the weapon will most likely be enabled for the whole month in all banners.
True that it has low dps but it gets boosted by the Wind Potency 25% with the costume. Equalizing dps to a 800% dps weapon. Yes, this costume can be used by her with Physical, but now u have a Magic version. You don't need to bring Wind imperil or mdef debuff. You can partner her with Cait that buffs MATK with a chance of Haste and proceed with Yuffie dps without stopping. Include that U.W. she is one of the nest Wind physical or Magic dps.
@@akinamori1615 Wind potency from the costume would work regardless though... we build to reach 8 stacks one way or another, this isn't a separate modifier. So, yes, it is 25%, but only in theory, as in practice you cover that percentage regardless. I agree that the costume is a strict upgrade, practically rendering the old one useless, as the new one works just as well for her physical build. All I am saying is that as is, if we compare this weapon to any other DPS weapon, it is lacking in damage, and if we compare it to a support weapon it is too slow and little for a support weapon. It is there because it is the second Magic weapon for wind we most likely will need to beat Ranking as it is weak to Mag Wind and Titan when it arrives, but the weapon itself is a dud, and will be replaced as soon as a proper DPS one comes out. Heck, we never even used Yuffie's physical wind setup, which did have a proper DPS weapon, because we got better options first from Seph, then from Zack. This is the definition of a bait weapon. Gear, sure, Ultimate, probably the best ultimate thus far. But the weapon itself, nah.
Fully agree - weapon is trash tier, Costume is Top tier. Either Vincent/Cloud will get the Top magic Wind dps weapon in the next weeks. I would doubt they suddenly make Cloud a Magic dps seeing all his kit is Neutral Phy/Element Phy. But its Appli and they have demonstrated they give zero care for trends :)
@damiandelchev9131 the only thing I fear is, they will push it regardless, as we only have 2 mag wind weapons, and I get the feeling that the new ranking battle will “coincidentally” have physical damage handicap on the A-Rejector enemy for full score, like they did in other ranking battles, especially since Yuffie is the other boss, being physical Fire weak. So… you get it… But we even had this discussion internally with the guild, no matter how you cut it, this weapon seems to be made specifically for one event then relegated to a stat stick. Oh well…
Unfortunately I don't use Yuffie very often (the costume is really powerful) personally now I think I'll just take the costume considering that the weapon is not a limit weapon
This weapon makes only sense in combination with the ultimate weapon, u can start debuffing 3x very fast to catch up with the rest of the party but without the ultimate weapon u will hate it especially vs NPC that have high wind buff protection.
Low potency at OB10 ? Easy skip. A estas alturas,no me convence nada el arma (el traje es bueno,pero no uso a Yuffie y si me da por usarla sería con su Anni arma o traje). Sin +debuff extension nativa un arma así puede que no te permita mantener los debuffs a high de forma consistente (a menos que tengas también el ultimate,que también hay que decir en modo AUTO lo más seguro es que el value del ultimate baje mucho porque lo usará cuando esté disponible,y no cuando realmente tengas espacio para rellenar el ATB). Si el arma tuviera,incluso a low, "increase wind potency" (aka en-wind) Y wind resist decreased A LA VEZ,insisto ,a low (porque si no sería demasiado xD, o quizás low/mid to mid en ambas) ,ahí sí le vería value decente. Todo esto lo digo como F2P y asumiendo que no vas a tirar por un arma solo por las pasivas, que no uses a Yuffie normalmente. Fuera de esos casos,este combo posiblemente sea top tier DPS en wind magic...pero es un elemento que no se usa mucho (aún,esperemos a TItán...y quizás hasta a Cid si sale antes de que cierren este banner) . Cid tiene toda la pinta de que será bueno en Viento (quizás incluso en Tierra y viento a la vez?),por lo que puede que sea precipitado ir a por Yuffie ahora. Aparte de que no ponen banners "meta" back to back,y el kame de Tifa está megaroto + diciembre/enero traerá al menos 1 banner gordo seguro. Lo mejor por ahora es ahorrar,y esperar.
