I don't have much knowledge when it comes to music theory and such but Mixcraft is the simplest and easiest DAW you can find out there, totally would recommend this software.
This helped me a lot. The best explanation on tempo and key editing I've ever seen.
Thank you Cameron and ¡Viva Mixcraft!
As a Mixcraft 8 user, subscribing was a must. Thanks guys 👍
Wow. This is some really cool features.
Wow! I am so glad I chose Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio! Love it!
Glad you're enjoying Mixcraft!
I started out using Mixcraft great daw!!
Glad to hear you enjoy Mixcraft!
very very nice and important information, thanks man
Glad it was helpful!
Pretty advanced for a full featured DAW that’s sells for around $179 !!!!
studio one + ableton = mixcraft
Nice lesson. Is there a way in Mixcraft to find the tempo of an audio loop when it isn't documented?
Glad it was helpful!
As for finding tempo: It depends on the sound/file itself. If a sound has tempo data stored in it (most don't), then Mixcraft will automatically read the tempo data. If the sound doesn't have tempo data, then Mixcraft will try to automatically detect the tempo. It can't always do that, because sometimes the beat is difficult or impossible to detect (or maybe there is no beat).
However, one great way to work around it is with the 'tap tempo' feature (click the tempo, then use 'tap' to count along in time). From there, you can warp the clip to fit the new tempo once you get it close!
Do you guys have a document with all the shortcuts and hotkeys for Mixcraft? That would be really helpful.
You can actually find that in the manual in the Keyboard Shortcuts section! Most of them are also shown when hovering over an item or in the menu!
Is it possible to do a video on Side chaining? - I hear it mentioned all the time, and although I've read up on it, it might sink in more if I could see an example in Mixcraft. Cheers!
We'll be covering sidechaining in a future tutorial!
@@acoustica222 That's brilliant news - Mixcraft is the only DAW I've taken to - Looking forward to it.
Can anyone tell me why this guy starts his production on the second bar?
I have a question, that I'm not sure fits into this topic, but it's related in a way. I need to set my audio track to start (negative) because I have pick-up notes. I was hoping to get the first beat to fall on 1. So the pick up notes would be 3, 4 of the previous measure, and the next measure would start with beat 1. Can anyone help? Thank you!
In cases where you have pickup notes, you can instead plan to record starting at bar 2 or 3, that way you can record the pickup notes into the first measure! Don't forget than when exporting from Mixcraft, you can select the region to be exported which would allow you to trim off the extra blank space at the start!
@@acoustica222 - Hello! Thank you for your response!! The audio I have in mind was already recorded; so I was looking to tweak it. It's not really a problem at all; I'm just using some of my recordings as a jumping pad to record anew. :-) By the way, I love how the audio clips look and feel!!! They're so easy to see; they pop out, and are easy to see, move, cut, and paste, etc.!! I think that Mixcraft will one day surpass ProTools if it keeps up with all of the updates. :-)
How do you set clip gain in Mixcraft?
Each clip can have it's gain set with the 'raise/lower handle' in the center of the clip. If you're stuck though, feel free to contact our support at support.acoustica.com
@@acoustica222 Thanks. In Pro Studio 8 it only seems to be raisable by 6db and the waveform graphic doesn't seem to change in relation to the db changes unlike other daws. Is this different in Pro Studio 9?
