I really really want to learn and go through this, but this honestly was a bit painful. A huge lack of background on set up, the short/brief explanation, this was painful to go through and still is. I really want to use this tool, but man. There is a huge disconnect between set up and and the results and where it fits in the workflow. I apologize for saying, but if youtube didnt have a transcript feature I would be screwed.
thanks for the video, but I wish this was more informative to those learning how to do it. This video must be great for experienced developers. I am still learning and it was very confusing. I paused the video at 3:50 and closed it. Couldn't continue as the explanation was hard and the title of the video misleading.
Hello! excellent video, thanks for taking the time to explain how it works. I have a problem with an automation with a webhook, I want to achieve that when someone clicks on the link (the webhook), a field within airtable is updated, but I can't do it, when they click on it it takes me to a page that says "true" confirms the action of the webhook but nothing happens inside Airtable, no field is modified. I don't know what to try anymore, could you help me? If something occurs to you, thank you very much ♥
I am stuck at trying to find a key and header for google forms. This video was super helpful but I want to have my webhook autopopulate a google form on Zapier then have the new contact from google forms start a new sequence.
Hey, yeah thats a little bit more complicated. Have you checked out this? - developers.google.com/forms/api/reference/rest I believe you need to go into the Google Cloud Console (console.cloud.google.com/) and you need to create a new API project. Once you've named it "Google Forms" or something you will get sent to a dashboard. In the left hand menu you want to go to "API & Services", then to "Enable API & Services". You want to go to "Google Workspace" and click "View all". You then want to enable to the google forms API. Then you want to got to "Credentials" on the left hand menu and then "Create Credentials" at the top of the screen select API Key. You will then have an API key and the header will be "key". Hope this helps.
There is no "catch hook: option in Zapier, can you provide a workaround? I only have access to Webhooks by Zapier, and unable to select Catch Hook as the trigger event; which is leaving me with no URL to place
So you’ve selected the webhook trigger but the catch hook option isn’t showing? What is showing? And is the catchhook option greyed out or just not there?
