One of my all time favourite games. Playing it you feel so immersed in its world of magic and mystery.... And this trailer is also mysterious, since it features a FMV scene and a gameplay scene deleted from the final game!
+ZorioTheGamer 1:53 that whole dragon level was scrapped. In the final game the dragon only appears in a cutscene (I believe the level start and end cutscenes were kept as one cutscene) the FMV is at 1:33, where he pulls the worm out of his eye socket. That was the cutscene to another scrapped level, where you play as the worm to retreive the key of the door for Dan. I can't stop imagining what that level would have looked like... But then again the idea was likely implemented as Dan Hand in Medievil 2, and specifically the vampire level, so we basically got that at the end.

Ha, I'll be showing it off to an American friend tomorrow through Skype hoping he'll be amused. It's a great showcase of British humour and a great game overall.
Whoa that dragon chase sequence that never made it into the final game was awesome looking. It was pretty much a .fmv that led into gameplay that's pretty unreal given the time period.
I was obsessed with finding this scene in the trailer as a little kid (think I had it on a demo disc along with the real game). Funny looking at it now, the animation is clearly a placeholder.
'Unique swashbuckling attacks... = Swinging my sword left and right, clubbing, using hammer the right way, long ranged combat, blocking, ramming into enemies and shooting lightning from my finger tips. Truly unique.
This game is amazing. But theirs one level in this trailer that was cut from the retail game and instead turn into a cut scene which is the dragon chasing Daniel. My guess why it was cut due to technical problems animating the dragon because it looks very buggy. I almost forgot stop this clip at 1:56 it's very short. How this level would have started and ended just like the cut scene. Running away from the dragon and dodging fire projectiles making your way to the cliff and jumping. It would've been short level probability 5 mins long and easy to complete without a challenge not like MediEvil 2 versing the demon on the last stage. Just hope this comes Back and not forgotten in the Remastered as an DLC.
I played this game when I was around 6 or 7 years old with my dad. I didn't realize it yet back then but this games atmosphere and soundtrack is unmatched so far, even today. I played hundreds of games over the course of my life but the original MediEvil stays special. They really perfected the gothic-esque world of MediEvil. I guess you could say that it's nostalgia, but I honestly feel like it's not. It's just a really good game. Ofcourse the game wasn't perfect, especially after playing it these days you notice the imperfect controls and combat. But the atmosphere makes up for all of it. So much that you never notice.
Me. 6 month later after watching the third trailer of Medievil remake. I was checking out this trailer because we maybe getting unused level from medievil and i had no idea what that could be. After someone was telling me that the ghost train and the dragon section was unused and i could watch it in this trailer, i had to check that out.
Luis yeah it was in the blue pizza hut demo disk I actually still have it from when my step grandfather gave it to me which was like 12 years ago it still plays like it was brand new.
(Columbia pictures logo but surrounded by dark storms) (Narrator) There were once enimies in the battle of Gallowmere, and then the scorcer Zarok returned and casted the enternal night on the kingdom not knowing Sir Daniel Fortesque returned from the dead. (Gargoyle) fate has given it a second chance to forget the ignoble truth (Narrator) From Director Tim Burton (Zarok) so even from the shackles death my old enemy pursues me. (Narrator) Comes a tale of Knight proving a chance to prove his worthiness (Daniel) I’ll show you! (Zarok) None shall not defeat the Mighty Zarok! (Narrator) Johnny Depp and Willem Dafoe. Tim Burton’s MediEvil
Cambridge studio never released that version of the game right?? I played a early version called "rolling demo", but was a very early version of the game and have a massive differences with this trailer. That version was included in euro demo disc, but i don´t remember exactly what numer of the demo disc. And the demo for america was included in the volumen 9 of demos.
So just a question probably will never get 1, but is the gameplay in this trailer like the beta?, the full game was never like this. As a kid I always wanted this version
Medievil was always and it still is a perfect game

Can you tell me when the deleted gameplay appears? I find these things very interesting :P

an example of how to make a One-of-a-kind masterpiece of a game without too much graphics...
My childhood.... i loved this game so much..... (2017).
Ha, I'll be showing it off to an American friend tomorrow through Skype hoping he'll be amused. It's a great showcase of British humour and a great game overall.

There's a lot of interesting aspects in this trailer like a slightly different U.I and what seems like the game had lives
1:53 What a shame we've never seen!

1:56 I don't remember this from the game
Nope, this was cut from the final game, it only appears in an FMV.

I can’t help but wonder if that’ll be fleshed out into a level for the remake... 🤔

Same
A Fantastic Trailer for a Fantastic Game!!!!
'Unique swashbuckling attacks... = Swinging my sword left and right, clubbing, using hammer the right way, long ranged combat, blocking, ramming into enemies and shooting lightning from my finger tips. Truly unique.
I remember that the develoepers cut the dragon chase from the final game. A shame really.
...and a mini level about the little worm inside Sir Dan called Morten! WHY???
I would love an HD remaster featured the lost content
You got your wish

I played the PS4 remastered version and I say it was crazy about the fact when you die on a level you start all over again
nothing but good times!
Dark Souls 0.1 CONFIRMED!!!

I've been saying this for years! Especially the pirate ship level! Catacombs/Tomb of the Giants, anyone???
I've been saying this for years! Especially the pirate ship level! Catacombs/Tomb of the Giants, anyone???
Gabriel Moran only this? the wolf boss/Sif ??? The Forest???
The Lake/Ash Lake??? A good 80% of the game was a good basis for DKS.

Well it can only be presumed to be an earlier version. So far as I know there have been no details released on it.
@@ChocolatierRob yea it’s weird I believe thats tge only games play of that version
2019?
@Serguitas I can't believe that I actually commented "2019" like "who watching in 2019?"
I don’t think I want to survive the ghost train, it burnt down years ago so I can’t even try…
I’m sorry if this offended anyone.
Cinematic camera angles... More like nauseating :-S
I'm not a nostalfan, I'm sure the original game looks having an atmosphere of terror comparing to the remake
:3
