I’ve lived in Spain for 6 years , I’ve never met a Spanish Police officer that can’t speak English , they’re far better educated and trained than British cops , The idea there isn’t even one translator on Tenerife is absolutely ridiculous

Guess you're lucky because Spain's main language is Castellano (or Spanish in English) and they don't need to learn foreigners' languages unless they want to.

I still believe that the key to what happened to him is to be found in the reason why he went off with 2 older men who were not at the rave and who were only on the island for a planned 2 nights. Whatever happened he appeared very keen to leave that area as he didn't want to wait for a bus and didn't get a lift back to his apartment with them.

He didn't walk his phone pinged the location 31 minutes after his last call. It takes 2 and half hours to walk from masca to the last ping. Someone drove him or that phone up there. It's not possible for that phone to get to that point on foot in that time. It's funny how it takes 31 mins on the maps to drive from masca to that last known location. Suspects need to be requestioned. The owner supposedly spoke to him. Defo the two men that took him away on his own double his age!

There’s a massive drug problem on all of the Canary Islands , the police turn a blind eye or are involved in it , as soon as you leave the airport you get asked if you want drugs , it’s everywhere, the lucky lucky men sell it , day and night, bar staff etc all pushing it

Taking 36 miles away from starting point is some distance way to get to B&B. The thought had never crossed Jay's mind once along the car journey "abit of a track this? Never exspected drive to be sthis far? Didn't communicate this once to the person driving? Didn't exspect this to be such a long drive? Who long in distance now before we arrive? "Hope I manage to find my way back somehow. His mum Debbie "he's not a stupid lad" These same 2 men say to Jay before setting off? "your welcome to come back to our sticks but it's 36 miles away in distance. A question perhaps that would cross most ppls minds in that same circumstance.

The Spanish police would have HAD to release those 2 men if they did not have sufficient evidence at that time to detain them any longer. That's not to say that they are not heavily involved in this.
But did they interview/investigate them before allowing to fly home, AND that said, have Lancaster police been able to identify these two men and look at their backgrounds? It strikes me as very odd they would pick up a 19 yr old from a festival, WHO DID HAVE accommodation to go to at the air and b, yet he went with two strangers thirty miles away to an isolated property to stay…..I’m not a super sleuth, I’m a mother of three boys and to me that stinks! I’d want to have had those men interviewed at length, body dna taken from them both to see if they had physical body contact with J, and then explanations as to what happened to him there and the next or following days? Why if they were friendly wasn’t he able to charge his mobile so family could be contacted..why if he went off alone, intent on walking, wasn’t he given a container of water to take with him? Phone not being charged up there is a big worry to me, as once charged, police could have got a signal to pinpoint his position!!

By going off in the 'wrong direction' he might have been trying to evade those 2 men who he knew would be in their car looking for him. Also he would have got off the road and into the terrain.

Maybe he did not go up to the mountain of his own free will and maybe he never did ask what time the next bus was there is no proof of that..maybe he was told to call lucy and say he was lost and thirsty .maybe he did choose to go up the mountain with those guys and felt a bit uneasy as he started to sober up and thought screw this and left hence not charging his phone first..why did he become so thirsty by the time he called lucy when he was in the air b&b until around 8 /8.30 am..would he have not had a drink before he set off ?? Lots of maybe's hey and we may never know what happened.

craphead9842 in 2015 we had a Danish soldier who vanished, the Police and public searched for over 2 months, some people said they had seen him in Copenhagen 🙄😳 but he was found in the local stream where we already had searched for him. He had been there all the time.
Masca is the ideal location to either 1. smuggle someone by boat, unobserved, off the island, or 2. enact some vengeance for a drug deal that went south.
Sounds like the Guardia Civil treated this as a missing person case, and failed miserably to deal with it as a criminal case. might be too late now. if the 2 strangers are wise, they bought a one way ticket to Brazil on landing in the UK.

I want to know how a 19 year old violent criminal can afford a holiday out there and more significantly, how he could be allowed to travel out there.
The missing man was part of a gang who left a boy for dead after attacking him with a machete. They followed a boy who was meeting a girl. The girl stopped the attacked after she covered herself over the boy. The gang left thinking they had killed him. The boy's skull was exposed, he nearly died. The girl basically saved his life by stopping the attack even though the attackers including Jay thought they had killed him when they walked off. Who ever this girl was, she was amazing for what she did. Jay who was part of the gang was only 16 at the time, but even so it was an horrific attack on another boy by a gang of 8 including Jay. I have no idea why this man has gone missing but you would have thought he would have been found by now. He does look very androgynous so he might have been abducted? I don't know the weather situation but he could have been overcome with heat exhaustion and fell? There has been a lot of nasty remarks on the internet about the man who is missing, using words like karma, these remarks are usually made by people without children and those that lack love in their lives. He is a human being like all of us, we all make mistakes, especially when we are young. I am not expert on these matters but I feel others are involved in his disappearance. Lets see the man home with his family.
