Little houses for Christmas is nostalgic for me because I'm in my 60's and when I was a child, just about every family had a little village of cardboard and glittered houses that they put out for the holidays, and you could light it up with a string of lights. Recognize that as a fire hazard now, but such a good memory! Thanks for your excellent tutorial--love the colors you used for the house and your instructions are very clear.
@@ruthhamilton8025 If you Google "Putz vintage church" you will see examples of the villages, which all had churches. We used a flat mirror for a skating pond. My mom let us put the village out the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Never would have thought that the mousse's would like sticking to the mirror card but it did!... and that idea about sealing the gaps with a drop to conatin all the light inide was inspired! that was so satisfying, AMAZING!
These are both beautiful. My granddaughter would absolutely love the pink one!❤️. Thanks for the tip about using the nuvo drops to fill in any openings in the roof. Great tip. Thanks Ruth
I love the lighted house. I would take clear Nuvo drops or glossy accents to fill in the light bulbs. Maybe colored card stock first and then clear medium. As I was watching you glue on the curve, I also thought a gel medium would be more substantial. But I want to thank you for your engineering skills in putting these structures together, as well as passing your discoveries onto us. You are just so wonderful. Thank you. O, and I love the paste and stencil.
Thanks! Yes, I do that with the light s some times as you can see here - ruclips.net/video/F-3L-Q7kHCg/видео.html . I never use gel medium. Maybe I should try that some time :)
OMGOSH. Just a little time consuming 🤣😂, but aren’t they cute in the end. You do amazing meticulous work. No wonder I LOVE your videos. THANK YOU once again.
Thank you SO much! I probably am a bit pernickerty lol but I like the finished to look professional. "Meticulous" definitely sounds better than "pernickerty" lol. Thanks again, Kimberly :)
The houses are delightful. The lights are perfect. It really looks like someone is home and so cheerful. I can imagine a whole scene for any holiday. ( as long as you have the space for a display.) you’ve done a fabulous job.
Your enthusiasm is contagious. I used your affiliate link to order. While it’s no longer sold with the stencil or stamps I think I can make a go of it. Thanks for all your wonderful videos. If I could make a request, would you please give finished measurements as Tonic doesn’t always include it. Thanks again
Thanks so much, Esther. It's not as time consuming as it looks. It's my favourite of all the launches and I would definitely make the time to make more of these before Christmas
