@@sagestark3784 Yeah. Scarlet and violet really just have trash animations. Like it was bad in sw/sh, but scarlet and violet actively regressed animation improvements from past games like the fact that pokemon don't make contact like in legends arceus. Or the fact that they took away decidueye's special spirit shackle animation which is actually just sad.
@@JacobPDeIiNoNi I know this comment is a year old but I had to add that they did the same thing with Hisuian Decidueye, they removed the smooth axe kick into bow shot animation, the Decidueyes might as well not have their bows at all
What I love from these animations is how they CONNECT with the opponent, this is the closest thing to something like Pokemon Colosseum/XD: Gale of Darkness
Tbh, I came into this video expecting some pretty bad animations since pokemon has been a bit off in the mainline games, but this was surprisingly not bad. Some moves did look a little off, and it wasn't necessarily the animation, but more so the distance between the pokemon makes some attacks look weird, almost like a pokemon is overkilling something right in front of it. A little more distance between the pokemon, and some of the attacks would look alot better. Gap closing is fine too, but it also looks goofy when its animated so close to the opposing pokemon as well. Besides that, the effects were pretty great, and the art is starting to grow on me more. That or i'm coping for Scarlet and Violet graphics. Might try this game out, heard some good things about it
i'm also hyped for s/v that's why i played legend arceus 3 days ago finished the game on 2 days (i played nonstop religiously) and finished post game story & legendary hunt on the third day. now what's left are sidequests and to catch the arceus itself. dang this game is good. should've played sooner
My biggest issue is punching type moves is Pokémon running to their enemy then preparing the punch, whereas I’d prefer they lift their hands up to punch before they fully reach their opponents.
I feel like while there are plenty of great moves, a few of types feel underrepresented. Water, Bug, Steel, and Dark could have used more representation. For example, if you have a special attacking water type and hate the chance of missing and low PP, your only other option is water pulse. Something like Scald or Surf would have helped.
Good video. But am I the only one that still thinks these animations are not up to par albeit slightly better than sword/shield? Xd and colosseum had far superior animations and are pushing 20 years old
These animations are far superior than any mainline pokemon game since 2013. Just another thing that proves how awesome Legends Arceus is.
Facts
It's superior than Scarlet/Violet now in 2022 lol

Amazing
Thank you for taking the time to do this 😭
Thanks!

Blissey straight out annihilated that poor Bidoof 😅
3:26 The most badass moment.💪
Sad they dont take these animations for the New games
Lilligant''s victory dance is just amazing to witness
10:54 MY BELOVED
Hi my friend great job on this épisode big like 👍😁
Thanks!
No Bidoof were harmed in the making of this video.
0:49 Is it because the target is bidoof so the flame is really small? cause fire blast looks really lame in comparison to even SwSh
I think you're right. I've seen bigger flames for this attack
Yes, it changes to the size of the opposing Pokemon.
Judgement changes with equipped plates
*seeing new animations of pokemon S&V
*plays Pompeii
"....but if you close your eyes....."
😂😂😂 memories bro
they are super close to eachother

This game has better animations than Scarlet and Violet due to the fact that the Pokemon make contact.

yeah its obviously gonna seem like overkill when you're just killing bidoof over and over again
dude waiting forward a recopilation for pokemon scarlet and violet
Wish fire blast looked how it use to
Great moveset much much better than Scarlet and Violet which is a clear step backward

i love the new samurot hes soooooooooooooooooooo cute
yall be hating until yall see hyper beam
And then we got scarlet and violet (a big disappointments)
Poor Bidoof!
Looks so good
Dark void?
These proves LA still better than Scarlet Violet
What are those pants you're wearing?
I think it's basulegion pants
Good video. But am I the only one that still thinks these animations are not up to par albeit slightly better than sword/shield? Xd and colosseum had far superior animations and are pushing 20 years old
At least the Pokémon do seem to be attacking and not standing around launching an attack out of nowhere.
These are way faster than the stadium games which is much more preferable
F bidoof
I hate these sequences. I prefer the old way that fights were.
Wtf
@@actualatom what?
You miss when pngs would move slightly and fire would come out of their neck?
