This video makes me smile as I was trying to chase you around an arena a few hours ago with a GS. For PVE tanking I use a trenchant recovery GS I bought pretty cheaply and mix in heavy attacks along with a heavy dose of defiant stance abilities. Roaring Rupture into heavy attack with give you a lot of defense, a lot of threat and a lot of healing with trenchant recovery. Also, I am a big fan of Steadfast Strike and use it over Calamity Counter. It staggers, adds bleed stacks in defiant stance heals you, adds threat and lowers your other GS cooldowns. So much utility.
@@LemoniGames I'm a big fan of crosscut, especially after roaring rupture. Relentless rush into roaring rupture to drag all the trash mobs to you and then crosscut for big dps and to get you into onslaught is a lot of fun I have found.
The runeglass variants that give you 8% weapon damage over 2s are quite nice on the GS too. They carn one doesn't break at all with Roaring Rupture since Rupture does damage. It's a nice little boost that will let you pick up some other perks if you can't get or would rather not have attunement/chain. I went with Runeglass of Empowered Carnelian (arcane one) since they are $$$ to swap out and there are more corruption expos.

crosscut for stun immunity is dumb. u take increased damage and u deal as much damage as u would with heavy attacks, relentless rush better cus no cd and actually hits all mobs to pull with rupture
@@meeks726 yea we do the same normally - but it would make it less random I suppose with this having someone that has constant agro. Pug groups tend to turn the bosses towards the others when they get agro. Saw a few in depths try this and fall over in m3-4's so not sure it's a viable tank option in harder content. Though much more enjoyable playstyle than the hold m2 a lot.
@@meeks726 did notice ;) and clearly that makes it a lot easier, just not all that can run 25 premades, then it's about optimizing for ease of difficulty - making up for the less competent players that joins.
Ugh tanks trying to be DPS. Hated isn't enough to overcome no Carny. PLEASE don't tell people it's okay to tank that way. Pugging tanks is a gamble enough as it is 😬
@@LemoniGames well yeah the Carny was basically my point :) Glad you are enjoying the GS as much as I am. It made me switch my tank from a secondary preference to my first choice because it's just too damned fun. Happy hunting!
No... Just NO... If I saw some idiot actually using this or attempting to use this I would immediately block them. It's sad that they show Gen reg as the guide as you don't need a tank for that at all but you still take more damage than a good dps. This build makes you 100% a waste of space in anything other than open world PVE and even then you better be solo.

Do you think this would work as a heavy flail/heavy gs ?

Hello! im new to this game. Can u explain how it is possible to tank without heavy armor? Bosses literally oneshoot me if im wearing medium :D
i played a lot gs tanking, and with 200str/150dex (dodge cost reduction)/150con in medium armor
Will it work for higher mutated dungeons ? Looks fun for low level mutated rush
This doesn't even work on anything but open world PVE it's pure trash

This only works in Genesis bc the dungeon is so easy. We normally 4-dps m10 gen
