How will rhumb line help to reach point B as it's going to follow a designated path making a certain constant angle with the meridians and ending up in the north pole so point B may be miles apart from the point where rhumb line makes an angle with the meridian. Can someone please explain?!

Whenever i am confused to find the direction, I imagine facing the North pole from the given coordinate and if i move towards the right hand side becomes the east and if moving towards the left becomes the west. Am I correct sir?
Because if you go by another route You have to calculate (180- 49°35') + ( 180- 60° 20' ) = 249° 25' Which will be a longer distance So that's why we have calculated shorter distance which is 49° 35' N + 60° 20' S = 109° 55' S

At 49 min timestamp 2nd question of d-LAT why dont we use the short route why only d-LONG? why is it 109 degree 55 min and why not 70degree 5min.
