Wow, I really miss Vibeke, her voice, her dance and her dresses, I think they're beautiful. Tristania is amazing!!
i love this song... this is what i wrote while listening to it... might not mean much to most people - i hope you will like it.

Este álbum no sólo es el mejor de Tristania, sino uno de los mejores del género metal gótico. Sin duda la mejor época de Tristania. Da pena ver esa vocalista nueva qué lo único que hace es saltar. Un gran grupo que pudo haber tenido un mejor futuro.
+Ricardo Antonio Martínez Arancibia Sin duda que ya no es lo mismo Tristania ahora que antes con Vibekke y Morten, pero bueno, al menos no han caido tan bajo como Sirenia, que empezó por todo lo alto con dos discos maravillosos, del nivel de Widows Weed, uno de los mejores discos y máximo exponente de lo que debería ser el puro Gothic Metal. Tristania ha cambiado mucho, ya no son tan buenos, pero siguen teniendo cierto encanto a su manera, y la cantante, Mariangela, aunque sea de otro estilo, es buena en lo suyo. Pero es que Sirenia da, directamente, vergüenza ajena ver en lo que se ha convertido con la última cantante y en sus últimos discos, que parece Pop y además del malo (porque puede haber pop muy bueno, pero no es el caso). Con lo grandísimo que fue Morten Veland en los dos primeros discos de Tristania y en los dos primeros de Sirenia... Resultó no ser tan genio como parecía... La verdad es que ya no quedan grupos ni discos verdaderos de puro Gothic Metal como lo eran esta gente o Theatre of Tragedy por ejemplo... Los tiempos del Gothic de verdad murieron hace mucho :(

Rubicon es un buen disco el problema es que es un cambio muy drástico para los fans de Tristania y al mismo tiempo es triste porque tenemos que vivir con las cenizas de lo que fue el Gothic Metal, pero todo evoluciona y el ambiente goth tampoco se presta para que se cree música como esta.
De pana, al menos Tristania no resultó tan patético como Sirenia. En mi opinión personal la mayoría de bandas de estilo sinfónico o gótico con voces femeninas son terriblemente ridículas.

@@go3cia no, no tengo nada contra las sopranos porque de hecho yo lo soy jajaja es por la música que componen, ni siquiera el estilo de canto porque considero que una banda no necesita una cantante lírica para ser buena. Me parece que muy pocas bandas se esfuerzan por componer música original y de calidad
very good show ... I love her dress, her voice and the way she moves her arms and hands, this on-the-spot-dancing she does, it suits so well and looks so cool!

A few months ago, I entered tristania's website, and read a statement and they said they knew Vibeke was going to join nightwish, others in youtube said she left the band 'cause she wanted to teach music.
Vibeke (with the dance) reminds me on Olympia in the Book "Der Sandmann" from E.T.A Hoffman.
Tristania, Draconian and Early Lacrimas Profundere represent the best in symphonic melodic death metal...anyone have suggestions for anything close to as good? (please dont include subpar candidates like leaves eyes, after forever, trail of tears, virgin black)

Maybe 'Dakrua' and 'Myriads', although I'm not sure of Myriads still exists.
I think Amorphis [Finland:melodic death metal]is excellent.I prefer the two later albums with a new lead vocalist:
Eclipse and Silent Waters.Most of their stuff is based on Finnish Mythology.Some prefer their earlier stuff.I don't like the bands you listed either!
Older Theatre of Tragedy is the closest to this. The Sins of Thy Beloved and Eternal Tears of Sorrow are somewhat there too. Also Sorg from Norway has some great Gothic metal music but it's more death metal oriented and fast paced than this.
Good performance...although I think her dance was, while good, a little overdramatic. But whatever, I'm new to this band and this genre in general so maybe that's common in this type of music. Thanks for posting.

Umm we are talking about goth metal female singers. Finding someone better than Amy lee, is like finding something less painful than a football to the groin.

Draconian? symphonic melodic death metal? I love Draconian but I don't think they are a symphonic melodic death metal band.
