In the last decade, Delhi has consistently voted for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha and the Aam Aadmi Party in the Vidhan Sabha elections. Will this trend continue in 2025? Swing voters hold the key. In the 2013 state elections, the debut election of AAP, it recorded 30% vote share, BJP 33% and Congress 25%. AAP gained 3% vote share in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, BJP 13%, at the cost of Congress, which lost 10%. The AAP gained 21 per cent vote share in the 2015 Vidhan Sabha polls vis-a-vis 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 14 per cent at the expense of the BJP and five per cent at the expense of the Congress.
