As a person with Indigenous roots, Jaylene was automatically one of my favourites from her entrance look alone. The representation she was able to show in 5 episodes was just amazing. She has such a motherly figure to her and seeing her go home really brought me to tears. As she said she's a Surthriver! She's such an icon and deserves all the love and I can't wait to see her on an All Stars or a Vs The World. Love your reactions as always 🤎
No tea, no shade When people reference plaid as iconic to the ‘90s, they are speaking about Marc Jacobs’ 1993 grunge collection for Perry Ellis, which helped bring the casual, rebellious aesthetic of the grunge movement into mainstream fashion. It’s important to note that Vivienne Westwood had already evolved well beyond her punk beginnings by that time. Her use of tartan and plaid was deeply rooted in tradition and showcased her skill in merging historical influence with subversive design, which is quite distinct from the grunge-inspired flannel styles Jacobs made famous.
Makayla's been getting so much hate for the past weeks simply because of her confidence. It's sad to see people being uncomfortable when I black trans girlie is shinning. And let's face it: her confidence is not unwarranted, she's doing pretty well in the competition.
Yall just realizing the fandom is racist towards black queens is wild . The fans think because they like p.o.c with whiter skin tones such as ( Puerto Ricans , Chinese , Taiwanese , Cubans and etc) that we don’t see the “anti woke “ movement that is happening within the racist fandom. Take notice of the people who make a mockery of the word “woke “ now take note of the people who only comment about someone black if it’s a negative comment . Look at the comments from angeria’s season or lux . They treat the black queens bad while the season is airing so the producers don’t give them the win. A lot of time they think their opinion matters. The fandom will hype up the blandest moves but downplay the originators
people aren’t uncomfortable, they’re annoyed with her behavior because she acts like a literal child 😂 she doesn’t listen to others and then is upset when ppl don’t listen to her. she needs to grow tf up and learn how to listen before she speaks🤷🏼♂️
@@mason5789 She’s done nothing compared to what other queens have done, and has to listen to people like you spread hate online. Thank you for proving my point, doll ;)
@@felipninho and if we really want to clock tea, why are you replying to your own post with a burner account? maybe you should go with Makayla back to school and learn some basic manners, I’m embarrassed for you😭
This season is everything to me right now 😂❤ from lovable queens to almost all good challenges lol to correct winners (for the most part) Makayla tore this whole episode up! ❤
Omg my comment got picked ❤❤ Thank you! I have this love/dislike relationship with Xana. Like she has good moments says great things to the other girls but then she’ll turn around and say the most random thing to be a bitch. lol. And sad Jaylene is gone but we can’t Roxxxy her to the end. She’s too much of an icon to do that. And Idk what’s going on with Uma. Yea, Makayla is being defensive, but Uma needs to think about what she’s saying. Good that she stood her ground but I’m seeing them editing her to be shady.
#bias Jaylene’s run on Drag Race has been serving… confusion. One minute, she’s giving us stunning Indigenous-inspired looks that honor her roots, and the next, she’s stomping out in full “Dynasty” realness, straight from Alexis Carrington Colby’s drama-filled closet. Girl, pick a lane! Alexis Carrington Colby isn’t exactly a champion of Indigenous culture or poor people, so the whiplash is real. By this point in the competition, you need a clear vision-just look at Makayla. Makayla never breaks character and always stays true to who her character is, which is why she eats every runway alive. Jaylene, on the other hand, is giving us two characters fighting for airtime, and neither one is fully winning the race. That’s why she got sent home. She is mother, yes, but she’s also not fully realized this late in the game.
Why Is Xana’s upper arm tattoos covered up? I noticed it in her entrance. Both her upper arm is covered in a skin tone bandage/patch. I suspect tattoos. Are they bad tattoos?
I’m one who stans the haus of couture and Makayla but her look to me it wasn’t grunge, when i think drunk i think early 90s and she gave me 2000s y2k IMO that’s 2 different eras the theme was GRUNGE and glamour not 90s and glamour , perla being so over looked
Let’s be real, Makayla’s attitude every week is just so off-putting. She doesn’t know how to listen to others. If you were actively listening in a convo instead of looking to respond you won’t misunderstand others so easily. Plus, her look this week wasn’t grunge AT ALL. 90s/Baps? Yeah, but nowhere near grunge. They clearly just gave her the win this week bc giving Virgo 3 wins in 5 weeks would annoy the audience(even though she deserves it).
Yep indeed. I liked Makayla’s look, very very 90s, but grunge it wasn’t! Period. As someone who turned 18 and danced the night away at a bar when Smells Like Teen Spirit was all the hype…I can speak from experience. And regarding the attitude, I hear you. It’s like she’s got defensive glasses on, and she grabs on anything that might sound negative and runs with it. I think she might have dealt with criticism too much and now she anticipates it, and she tries to address it before it even happens.

@ I can definitely see that. I’m trying to just chock it up to her being young, but it also just isn’t a cute look to be immediately defensive and cut people off before they finish like a brat! Hopefully she watches it back and can learn. As someone who used to be a similar way when I was in early HS, I can understand trying to get ahead of criticism from ppl who don’t see you(for example, I was gay in the Bible Belt, I can empathize with her feelings on being a marginalized person), but if you don’t hear ppl out you’re only hearing half of the truth you want to hear. It doesn’t serve anyone to be on the defense 24/7
Her look was grunge you two need to look up the word grunge . As a fashion designer and someone who majored in fashion her look was grunge . Maybe not your main stream idea of grunge but it was grunge .
please share and give this video a 👍👍👍👍👍👍 comment your thoughts about this episode👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
I definitely agreed with Helena getting the beaver.. her look was good and she has been killing it in the competition so far..
