Yes, that happened to me , my late husband & I had a very mentally ill neighbour, but we still loved him . My husband would invite him over for bar-b-ques & to watch football & drink beer together. Like regular people do . He really did have a good place in his heart, our neighbour, well, my husband too A lot of people in The hood, mercilessly tortured this poor, physically sick (from cancer) , mentally tortured reclusive man. WELL ONE DAY HE JUST COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE....!! He got onto his roof , after blowing out his windows from tne inside , with 7 different firearms, some with armour piercing shells. He held the little hood under siege for 11 goddamn hours, we were under fire for that long. On our floors, or under beds , for 11 terrifying hours! The sheriff gave him his weapons back 2 X that day , I called 911 18 times , but nobody ever responded. But in conclusion, the detectives said he never once aimed at my house , nor fired shots in it's direction . Everything else looked like Swiss cheese. You know, it's funny how a little kindness & respect , can really go a long ways . He aimed at everyone's bedroom windows too.

After that I heard footsteps walking towards the small compartment I was hiding in and then he was walking away and closed the door and then the principal announced that the lockdown was over and when I told my parents about it they bought a Ds and that’s the end
It’s sad that it’s common but I watch them because I want to know all the possible things that could happen that way I know what to do if they do happen
I feel bad for Tanner in the first story. I understand being bullied completely because I was bullied when I was younger, but being bullied does not give you the right to hurt or kill people. I actually am friends with my childhood bully, now. I won him over. It was not easy, but I never give up on people easily. I have a gift of turning people around to be better, I have been told. I am just trying to do the right thing and help others.

I was in a desert once while being shot at. I did have my own gun, but basically no cover. The scariest part for me was when I realized this person wasn't going to stop shooting simply because I'm shooting back. (Cut out most of the story for brevity)
Favorite stories....i shouldn't state favorite but I always find it interesting what and why in certain situations people decide and or choose what they do..

I find story 1 extremely hard to believe. A shooter has NEVER lowered their gun for anyone that ever tried to reason with them. That just doesn't happen. When somebody decides to commit acts of violence, absolutely nothing you say will make them have a change of heart
If only the teachers in these situations were armed and could competently handle a firearm, or a veteran was hired for school security. There would be a lot less casualties
