Great demonstration Mike. Thanks. Absolutely awesome tractor. So underrated. Cost less then other manufacturers. And they are very economical which counts alot these days.
After learning and understanding all those controls you’d probably find it easy to fly the space shuttle 😂. Very informative video 👍 Regards from Down Under.
Your videos are very helpful. I just got a new 8280 that we’re hooking up to a Claas triple mower. I was wondering how to setup the joystick to control the mower functions. TIA
I've heard people say that they would just like a company to build a basic and simple tractor. Well with that said when I started with Versatile in 2009 they still offered a basic 4WD tractor that you could get a basic synchro transmission and manual hydraulic levers with cable going to the remotes. Well they quit offering this around 2013 because they were only getting a few orders a year and I do mean only a few. The vast majority of the orders wanted the power shift transmission and electric hydraulic remotes as well as other options.
Farmers are willing to pay for comfort and technology. Deutz still produces loads of smaller models with stick shift and manual levers just not for the north American market.
I couldn’t even imagine working on a new tractor, they’re 99.99% computer it seems like. It’s awfully pretty, cool space shuttle cockpit, but it stops computing in the middle of a field you’d have a time getting it out to get fixed. Awesome looking machine though. Them big buds are gonna sell like crazy, going back to simpler tractors so they say, but NONE of them engines going in them are simple. The basics sure, but they’re all EFI, that means cpu, farmers are gonna want auto-trac, and every implement from planters to harvest are LL high tech. I remember when I was in high school and International came out with the 2+2, it looked space aged and just really cool, man, it’s a inosaur now lol.
Beautiful tractor! What is that dial indicator on the right hand window post (just above the caution and warning stickers)? Can't quite make out the icons, is it cab lights?
Hi Mike, enjoy your videos. What made you leave Versatile and go to Duetz? They are very nice tractors, but I think the technology in these things is almost going to far. One little loose wire or sensor and your down until a tech can hook a computer up to it.
Is it possible to set drive speed only by using joystick in AUTO-mode so that when you select driving direction first, you then only move joystick to move tractor and control speed like other manufacturers and if you press accelerator pedal does it deactivate joystick mode like deere
Скажіть будь ласка чи є різниця тракторів DEUTZ FAHR в потужності двигуна та функціях між версією warrior та стандартною версією. Чи різниці між цими версіями тільки в дизайнерських елементах та кольору ?
Hooking up implements or moving around in close quarters. You can also use it like an actual clutch pedal starting and stopping if desired but it’s not necessary.
Deutz Fahr probably has smallest cab in market. Also those bright color cab might be too much for some and engine isn't with best reputation. But looks are great, visibility also is great, goes 60kph.
That tractor doesn't have a cab. It has a cockpit. Just add an injection seat and the F16 pilot will be right at home tucked in there. 🤠 Maintenance costs are likely to be the same as F16. 😳
Why do you think maintenance costs would be higher than others? The transmission on these tractors has its own oil reservoir separate from the hydraulics. This cuts out any risk of an implement with dirty hydraulic oil being hooked up and contaminating the transmission for one.
@Mike Less - Farmhand Mike : I'm sure it is a mechanical beast of a tractor and very serviceable. But electronics, electronics, electronics. How many "distributed control modules" ie computers are on that machine? Does it perform "self diagnostics"? Can diagnostics be performed over the internet? Farmers are adept at mechanical repairs but we don't have time, equipment or expertise for the electronics. A loose connector, corroded pin, fried chip and it's finished. I know it's the "way of today" but that don't make it a good thang. Sometimes, "Less" is best. (Mike Less)🙋
@@gerardjohnson2106 .... writing this and using iPhones, iBooks and a lot of other stuff that is much more complicated. Of course everything can break, but if nobody tries to make a step forward we still would use horses on our farms and nobody ever would have flown. What was modern and perhaps a bit more vulnerable yesterday is standard today. And it will be the same here.
I think the tractor is too complicated. Long days could lead to frustration with a tired farmer forgetting all these features. Never leave home without the operators manual I say.
Do you think American farmers are more obtuse than European farmers? They certainly are not! You can get this thing to work just as reliably as any other farmer. But if you treat technology with reservations, it can't work. Apple is a pioneer in so many things, and do you manage your iPhone? For sure.... this is not much different. Understand the logic and then comes the routine.

Hello! I will never forget a 65hp Deutz oldie! Energic and economical...
the good old air cooled engines, they were very common in the days from Deutz
@@beowolfgang Greetings from Portugal!👌
Excellent video Mike. Good way to break down how to get the best out of the tractors. Looking forward to more.

Hah I’ve been looking at Deutz tractors and I’ve been looking on RUclips for videos of them (in English). Perfect timing!
Happy subscriber has put in a 👍! Thanks Mike for sharing again.
Hello Chris how are you. Have a nice weekend 😊
Thanks Mike great explanation on the transmission. I'm ready for a new one this spring.
Good looking tractor ! Times have changed , I started out with the two cylinder John Deere tractors where you only had a few gears to choose from .
I like the Deutz green better. The black look cool, but I'm thinking, like with autos, it will show dirt more quickly.
Nice looking tractor, cool looking boots too Mike
Grand tractor!
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻

And I thought I was in heaven with a 2 speed hi and low gear. My cab was a heavy coat in winter and tshirt in summer and a ditch close by
Far cry from the air cooled models back in the early 1980s. As they say, “ you’ve come a long way, Baby!”
Very nice explanation😉👍 deutz fahr makes great tractors😁👍
Thank you for the video👍👍
I like Mike less videos on RUclips from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲

Very informative video, Mike. This tractor looks amazing. Thanks.
That cool looking tractor.

Hello Robert how are you. Have a nice weekend 😊

Nice, I do like the black and how all the controls work.
This tractor is a bit advanced over my three 06 tractors. Wow
Hello how are you. Have a nice weekend 😊
I'm not a fan of black tractors or combines even though I like black vehicles. I really like the std green they have. I like those tractors period.
Great review Mike as usual. 👍

It is all your lights, all your outside work lights and cab lights. Your side lights are on a switch near the steering wheel

Heck that’s anything with a motor nowadays
hey ask deutz why its taking them 8 years to fix something under warranty on my tractor
what is the diference between Rc Shitft Power robotized and TTV?
Mike nice setup. Just wanted to know do Power farming group distribute Duetz tractors in America. They are guys that do it here in New Zealand
Yes Power Farming Group I’d the Deutz Fahr tractor distributor in the USA
"Deutz"!

Ya don’t see many of them here in north central Indiana
This is a lot different then our old DX 160
I want one!
Like a green McCormick
Similar to my Fendt.

Why doesn't it have a joystick steering feature like Fendt tractors?
Who are your dealers in Ohio?
Great video! What is the standard warranty on these tractors?
Two years with extended plans up to 5 years.
Awesome
