Targeting accelerators across a unified code base has been an engineering problem for decades and we have been using enhanced LLVM to target architectures. A unified and modular set of tools with an ubiquitous intermediate representation translator would be wonderful!
Great conversation. I'm becoming more and more of a fan of Mojo because it solves problems that I care about. I am a data scientist that works in Scala and Python depending on the situation. If Mojo delivers on its promises, I will intend to move fully to Mojo.
