Okay, so the way I see this is it’s a cycle of abuse. The witch can be represented as a mother, and the girl as her daughter. The mother abused her daughter (which is represented by the girl serving the witch). The girl has thoughts about escaping (standing up to her mother), which is shown by her stabbing, and hitting the witch, which doesn’t do anything, because these scenes take place in the girl’s mind as ideas rather actual actions. The one time she does stand up for herself (with the water), she ends up pushing the witch to her breaking point. She ends up accidentally killing the witch (which represents the daughter coming of age, moving out, and going on her own without her mother to control her). However, in many cycles of abuse, the child will end up becoming just like their parent, which is shown when the girl gains her own magic just like the former witch. It’s a cycle of control and abuse that never really ends, because she didn’t get the help she needed to overcome the traumatic events she went through.

As I see it, this animation represents the false feeling of freedom. While the girl is stuck (It could be in real life anything that limits our actions), forced to peel potatoes, she wants to break free. The witch could represent many things that keeps us from reaching that goal: rules, laws, politicians, parents, whatever you may think of. She finds that filling up buckets with water will do the trick, replicating the potatoes, which both represent expectations(?) Once the witch gets a taste of her own medicine, she has a MELTDOWN instead of accepting her karma with grace. The victim finds freedom in the witches meltdown, but also guilt. So she stays trapped in a hell loop of her own making, with the door wide open due to guilt. Thus repeating the cycle of abuse instead of accepting the situation as it is to create her own closure. All in all, closure isn’t pretty. Move on with acceptance or become what has hurt you.

Yeah sure she was to do that forever in life probably and the witch started attacking her after she started doing mischief, but they had a some sort of mutual relationship during that time. Plus I think they've been living together their entire lives because if she has anywhere to go back to, then why would she decide to stay based on her quick flashbacks on what they did together?

Pelo o que eu entendi ela ficava constantemente tentando sair da casa mas era mantida pela a dona lá que aparentemente a deixaria ir se ela descascasse todas as batatas, mas sempre que ela terminava a velha colocava mais e mais tornado a tarefa interminavel, então ela se cansou e decidiu que iria sair de um jeito ou de outro; depois de tanto tenta, ela finalmente tinha sua liberdade, mas por medo do mundo lá fora ou então de seguir em frente pois passou possivelmente a vida toda lá ,ela descide que e melhor continuar onde estava.Um exemplo facil,é como um passaro que passou a vida toda na gaiola observando os outros passaros voarem no céu e quando a gaiola e aberta ele se afasta da porta ao inves de sair.

@@juh7104 pelo o que eu entendi, pensa no seguinte exemplo: um passaro passou a vida toda na gaiola observando o céu e os outros que voavam livremente, um dia seu dono por algum motivo abre essa gaiola e ao inves de voar, ele simplesmente se afasta da porta onde esta a sua liberdade
