Really unusual yacht, there are very few motor catamarans around - and hardly any at all of this size. The pricing in the title is a little exaggerated. She was put on the market in 2014 with an asking price of $24,995,000. The price dropped over the following two years and at the time of her sale the asking price was $19,950,000. Nice video though - good work.
It was built for $41
A private owner was selling a used Sunseeker 130' Predator for 7 million. It really all depends on how fast you want it gone and who wants to buy it. It had the ugliest interior. This was on Yachtworld.com a few year ago.

Very nice. Even if you had more boat videos, that wouldn't be an issue; if you get the chance to film a vessel like that yacht, of course you're going to take it. Amazing machine.
I also agree with the comments regarding production quality; you do an excellent job with both the film panning stability, and the dialogue. Other channels could learn from you.

Beautiful video. The difference between a 2000HP Lambo and a boat motor is that boat is going to make 2000HP for 3 weeks solid to push your rich ass from Seattle to Singapore and not complain about it once. Then it will do it all over again to take you home. The Lambo is going to make 2000 hp for 20 seconds at a time and need a valve adjustment in a few minutes.

Man would've loved to shoot some drone footage for you guys, great footage. Personally I recommend the DJI Ronin for smoother shots, but props to the stedicam operator he's on point almost no pendulum effect. Kudos.

An exotic car might make over a thousand horsepower and (2) 2500hp motors might not seem like much but keep in mind those motors are making 2500hp at probably less than 2000rpm, they are pushing out torque numbers in the 5 digits. Try pushing that through your Ferrari and melt your transmission.

Great video and yacht. You know, you buy a yacht for that much and you still have to pay for fuel, insurance and your staff; you could buy a home that comes with cars and staff for about the same price. I'm not sure which one I would choose.

I noticed a few people, including the narrator, making comment about the 5,000 hp rating, and comparing it to the horsepower rating of a car. These two horsepower ratings are not the same thing. While the yacht engines are rated at 5,000 hp, they likely have ten times the torque as their automotive counterparts. Those tiny Lambo engines might work for the thrusters on that yacht, but they could never move it at speed, or last long enough to cross an ocean. Here is what I found online to make the two relative.....
Back to Berra's theorem, torque is the capacity to do work, while power is how quickly some strenuous task can be accomplished. In other words, power is the rate of completing work (or applying torque) in a given amount of time. Mathematically, horsepower equals torque multiplied by rpm.Apr 15, 2016
Torque can be generated without moving an object. However, when it does move an object, it then becomes "work," and this is what most people think of when they think of torque (usually in terms of towing). The more torque produced by an engine, the more work potential it has. This is where the big diesels shine.
To understand this, think of the difference between a race car and a tractor. The race car develops an enormous amount of horsepower, but the torque is used for speed through gearing. There's not a lot of work needed, in a relative sense, to push a race car forward, so less work is accomplished, leaving more power for speed.

+Legotruck82 They're boat engines, probably situated below the water line, so having no external intake is one less thing to go wrong. You can get away with an external exhaust (obviously above the water line ) since it's a gas outlet and an anti-siphon valve can avoid water entering the valves, but that would be a risky setup with an intake.
surely you could pipe an intake to a high point in the boat? That's actually how I thought it would be done...

The MTUs are diesel. Once you get past a certain boat length, which is probably about 35 feet, the use of gasoline engines becomes prohibitive due to the high torque demands required to move larger and heavier boats through water. Read all about it here: www.yachtsurvey.com/GasDiesel.htm
