    I've been watching pro dota for 8 years now and this is the game I recognize as the best game ever, at the very least it's the most thrilling and breath-taking game ever played. Though the Game 2 of EG vs Alliance at ESL New York was pretty damn good as well.

    I just keep coming back to this cause it's so legendary. Two teams with totally different playstyles, legendary dota 1 players on each team, and it just makes me sad that time has passed and that some of them are no longer at the top. But they are, and will always be legends and this game will remain as the TI that changed dota 2 forever

      Go watch when he cments on all 5 games and see his opinion, since ur so smart but u didnt even watch it.
      There is differenece between honest mistakes or being outplayed, and making stupid mistakes which make no sense , and when u get asked why u cant explain except for " i was retarded"
      And there are many games in many professional sports where there arent many mistakes, someone was better and thats it.
      There is diference in somone wining over u and u losing to someone.
      Its like when crusaders win early game and then go farm jungle till 45 min instead of pushing and lose the game in 55 min.
      Thats not honest mistake, thats being retarded.
      Anyway as i said , i thought the game was briliant, a briliant comeback, till i heard his opinion.
      Than i realised one of the main reasons its so fun and wild is beacuse its a fucking shitshow of being retarded by people who were the best in the world.

    Many people said Alliance sucks because they only cowardly push, in other hand Na'Vi played better and should win. It is true, in overall and for individual skill, I believe Na'Vi is better than Alliance. However win or lose it's the second matter when you look how they dedicate themselves. Feel the spirit and their effort, Alliance believe they can win, they trust and support each other. Alliance deserve it this time.

    • @Pepsimaniaco
      @Pepsimaniaco 10 лет назад +6

      I have to disagree. Alliance showed as much skill as Na'Vi did, I am not a gbig fun of neither team, but we have to be honest and partial. I have been watching both teams for a long time and I gotta say, S4 man... what a mid... they played smarter and totally outplayed Na'Vi. Na'Vi is a great team but they failed and made mistakes a team with such experience should never make in a competion such as TI. Skillwise Alliance was better imo.

    • @arthurx333
      @arthurx333 10 лет назад

      Pepsimaniaco
      Although i like the underdog and dont really like Navi that much, i still think Navi are a bit better skilled overall. S4 with those TP cancels is what won the game. Alliance is amazing, very close to the skill of Navi, even better at certain aspects. But Navis team fights are perfect. Alliance outsmarted them with split pushing and smart plays by S4 by the amazing Roshan and Aegis steal, and then the TP cancels on Dendi near the end. Unbelievable. If he wouldnt of stopped the tp, TA would of stopped them with the Daedalus.
      Alliance deserves this win. So much heart and nerve control.

    • @suwandiwhite
      @suwandiwhite 4 года назад

      @@rovy3916 there are many aspect. the most impact one is from comeback mechanic gold and bounty runes.
      old dota, if u forcing and winning a lot teamfight and controlling the map already, the opponent is really hard to comeback.
      u can see on this game, navi got ahead of networth, but the gold alliance get from killing navi hero is still the same range on 250-350.
      nowaday dota, alliance maybe already get 600 to 1000 for each kill depend on the enemy kill streak.
      another cause is the hard of pushing by buffing the tower armor. so the game can't be ended faster. in that regards, there is a lot of time for u to make mistake and ur opponent to comeback.

    S4 got a ton of credit and hype for his TP cancels(Which I'm not denying were amazing), but Loda's reaction time to Reality Rift on Xboct's Alchemist at 50:28 was absolutely unbelievable - they had no detection (S4 had their gem and EGM/Bulldog/Loda had none). Xboct didn't break his invis until the moment he threw his unstable concoction(after he got hit by a Wisp Spirit like 1/8 of a second earlier), and Loda gets the Reality Rift off before the stun hits him - INCREDIBLE and most underrated play of TI3 imo(or at least of the finals, for sure). If that Alch stun lands, Loda probably doesn't die but likely loses all his Phantasms and NaVi's throne doesn't go down NEARLY as fast as it did - could easily have been a different outcome.

      +thedhbusiness I disagree. At that time the game is almost unable to be saved. Look at all the factors, with mega creeps and wisp, CK and NP able to teleport and rat down the base any time they want to.
      Na'Vi lost it big when they lose their top and bottom racks when S4 cancelled the three TPs. Their last chance was that attempt to push mid after they lose racks; which failed. After they couldn't pull that off, the game basically is over and Na'Vi is a flopping half-dead fish.

      @viktorszpika4378 10 лет назад +39

      Caleb Hillary When people refer to RAT DOTA, they refer to how Alliance was playing in the tournament; they focused less on kills and teamfights and instead split-push and went straight for the objective (which is the Ancient).
      Their strategies and unusual picks threw other teams off and that allowed them to win.

      João Antonio Carvalho It is. The kill-count is completely over-rated in DOTA 2. I won a game with NP by pushing the enemy's base when they were 50+ kills ahead of us (they had a Pudge and a SK too).

  • @bobthespartanski

    The best thing about this game is that this was before comeback mechanics were ever implemented, so [A] didn't didn't get more money out of the even engagements when they were behind. They won due to ingenuity and knowing when to rat (also, of course, s4), not simply by getting a helpful boost from the game.

      Alliance wasnt bad at all. Loda was able to time the stun and rift, EGM tethered at the right time and Bulldog tp at the right time, its just a hard juke from Alche. He initiated that he was on a trilane so he opted for Concoction early. Only proves XBOCT is not easily ganked even by 4 men.

    I miss these days. Some people complained about this meta catering to much to rat dota, but it made the games 10 times more intense. For example, this game. It also gave way to different strats, not just picking what was strong that and playing the same way every game. I can see by the comments that people have changed their minds as well. Now people are saying that this is the best game ever, but a couple weeks after TI3 all the comments here were hating about rat dota.
