Pepsimaniaco Although i like the underdog and dont really like Navi that much, i still think Navi are a bit better skilled overall. S4 with those TP cancels is what won the game. wow amazing play by [A]lliance had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm a Na'Vi fan at heart but I do have to commend [A]lliance for doing what a lot of players look past and that is going for the goal. Na'Vi got too greedy trying to go for kills and in the end lost to a great push strat GG!
im a navi supporter, but it was well played by alliance. think about the number of teams that would have fallen apart after that early start vs alchemist and having the crowd against you like that. it took a lot of skill and mental strength to win it the way they did, it was well deserved
This was THE final, the most exiting game ever played on any TI, even now i get goosebumps after seeing it again and still get sad because this was NaVi's game, jesus christ, look at Dendi's TA, it was the perfect TA
Anyone else rewatching this to remind themselves of how good [A]lliance was? I'm so sad that they're the very first previous TI winner to not attend a TI.
S4 got a ton of credit and hype for his TP cancels(Which I'm not denying were amazing), but Loda's reaction time to Reality Rift on Xboct's Alchemist at 50:28 was absolutely unbelievable - they had no detection (S4 had their gem and EGM/Bulldog/Loda had none). Xboct didn't break his invis until the moment he threw his unstable concoction(after he got hit by a Wisp Spirit like 1/8 of a second earlier), and Loda gets the Reality Rift off before the stun hits him - INCREDIBLE and most underrated play of TI3 imo(or at least of the finals, for sure). If that Alch stun lands, Loda probably doesn't die but likely loses all his Phantasms and NaVi's throne doesn't go down NEARLY as fast as it did - could easily have been a different outcome.
+thedhbusiness I disagree. At that time the game is almost unable to be saved. Look at all the factors, with mega creeps and wisp, CK and NP able to teleport and rat down the base any time they want to. Na'Vi lost it big when they lose their top and bottom racks when S4 cancelled the three TPs. Their last chance was that attempt to push mid after they lose racks; which failed. After they couldn't pull that off, the game basically is over and Na'Vi is a flopping half-dead fish.
this was the first ti I watched after I started playing, kind of interesting looking at it now that I've learned more. What stands out is Alch getting like 2 cs a minute for the first 15, Dendi had to carry this game by himself pretty much
Dendi and AdmiralBulldog's hug ... so touching. Such amazing sportsmanship. You can see the disappointment in Akke's eyes, knowing he didn't not do his best in the game, but EGM cheers him on.

Their strategies and unusual picks threw other teams off and that allowed them to win.
João Antonio Carvalho It is. The kill-count is completely over-rated in DOTA 2. I won a game with NP by pushing the enemy's base when they were 50+ kills ahead of us (they had a Pudge and a SK too).
Sahm A My friend , playing more dota doesnt necessarily mean ur gona get better :) often pros get worse coz they feel like they acomplished something and they lack motivation , Sumail is kinda fucking good and he is motivated to show all them pros he is good
The best thing about this game is that this was before comeback mechanics were ever implemented, so [A] didn't didn't get more money out of the even engagements when they were behind. They won due to ingenuity and knowing when to rat (also, of course, s4), not simply by getting a helpful boost from the game.
Alliance wasnt bad at all. Loda was able to time the stun and rift, EGM tethered at the right time and Bulldog tp at the right time, its just a hard juke from Alche. He initiated that he was on a trilane so he opted for Concoction early. Only proves XBOCT is not easily ganked even by 4 men.
zanierrules not everything needed is done. Like you watching Na'Vi vs. Alliance, it isn't important for you to live but you still did it so respect his wonders because I could have swear that Alliance won TI3 but Navi won the peoples's hearts
I saw this game live before I had played any dota and thought it was pretty cool. Watched it again now that I have played the game a ton and I have to say s4 is one ridiculously good player.
I miss these days. Some people complained about this meta catering to much to rat dota, but it made the games 10 times more intense. For example, this game. It also gave way to different strats, not just picking what was strong that and playing the same way every game. I can see by the comments that people have changed their minds as well. Now people are saying that this is the best game ever, but a couple weeks after TI3 all the comments here were hating about rat dota.

Sahm A My friend , playing more dota doesnt necessarily mean ur gona get better :) often pros get worse coz they feel like they acomplished something and they lack motivation , Sumail is kinda fucking good and he is motivated to show all them pros he is good
Sahm A Sumail is pretty new, anything said about him is already speculation. It's the same thing as when Arteezy was new, Sumail has to prove himself.
Yash Chauhan Sumail is aids
Robert Love-Shade He's good. But he is indeed aids to the dota community.
I wonder what regrets Na'Vi has that keeps them awake all night for the past years. Amazing comeback
The best thing about this game is that this was before comeback mechanics were ever implemented, so [A] didn't didn't get more money out of the even engagements when they were behind. They won due to ingenuity and knowing when to rat (also, of course, s4), not simply by getting a helpful boost from the game.
first 15 minutes was so difficult for alliance but that's true nothing is impossible
when behind , rat doto best dota!
the start is just hilarious how bad alliance is vs Xboct :D
Alliance wasnt bad at all. Loda was able to time the stun and rift, EGM tethered at the right time and Bulldog tp at the right time, its just a hard juke from Alche. He initiated that he was on a trilane so he opted for Concoction early. Only proves XBOCT is not easily ganked even by 4 men.
Aaron Gerard De Leon Wonder what would have happened if rubick or TA would have tp'ed in xD
Hillarious
TheDanishBully Do you really need to wonder?
zanierrules not everything needed is done. Like you watching Na'Vi vs. Alliance, it isn't important for you to live but you still did it so respect his wonders because I could have swear that Alliance won TI3 but Navi won the peoples's hearts
zanierrules Yes I would have to wonder.. how many kills would they have gotten.. would Xboct have survived ect... Plenty of opitions
tyle czasu minęło, a ja nadal uważam to za najciekawszy mecz
The memories.... Hope this year final can be as good as this
Who is still watching this in 2017?!
Carlos L. meeee
2018
Almost 2019 here
Navi banning Akke's & EGM's best heroes while Alliance banning Funn1k's 5 best heroes.
While Wisp won all 5 games of the match.
no matter how much i watch this match the adrenaline rush omg...... BEST MATCH IN THE HISTORY OF DOTO xD in my opinion :D
I saw this game live before I had played any dota and thought it was pretty cool. Watched it again now that I have played the game a ton and I have to say s4 is one ridiculously good player.
back when puck was still a legit mid laner
that last dream coil. perfect!
Best game ever played in the history of Dota... it is 2018 boi it s been almost 5 years!
Watching this because this years final was boaring need to get hyped again
