The correct lyrics are, "'Nerves walk on all fours, Till fingers take on paws, But once the seam is cut, The firehouse muscle turns" If you listen to the original by 'Head of David' you can now hear that those are the lyrics he is singing, not the 'Fear Factory' version. Before anyone slates this, I am a member of a private FF group on FB and one of the members actually tracked down and emailed Stephen R. Burroughs, the vocalist of HoD. Burton also changed a few lyrics when they covered Killing Joke's song "Millenium" on the Transgression album.
I attribute it to what other bands like Disturbed and five finger have done with Shout and Bad Company covers. They are adding their own flare.
