I have had a 1.5l 1st gen honda fit since 2017. No complaints. Just smiles per miles. ✅very reliable-just regular service ✅sporty ✅economical ✅surprisingly roomy ✅easy to drive around town and highway at moderate speeds ✅very comfortable sears.
Even the 660cc Hondas are incredibly comfortable. I was in a NWGN Bolt the other day, and I was surprised how good the seats are. I am 6' 1", so the seat pushed all the way to the boot let me stretch more than a Demio. Honda are on another level when it comes to space and comfort.
I love your content Erick, it’s very insightful and helps in making an informed decision while buying a car. I love the fact that you’re pointing out money pits for us every time. I have owned a 2010 ex-UK CR-V since 2016 that now has 190,000 kms and still drives beautifully. With routine service with genuine parts it has never given me any problems. The only time I ever got a check engine light was about 2 years ago it turned out to be due a sensor associated with second gear. While driving the gear would skip from 1st to third. After replacing the sensor, which wasn’t too costly, the problem was sorted. As a satisfied customer, I can 100% vouch for Honda’s reliability.
where do you go for servicing? Like where did you go when you saw the check engine light? You've sold me on the crv, I've decided to make it my purchase. Was choosing between the crv, rav 4 and cx 5
@@lethalstreak Hi, I normally take it to Honda Nairobi (opposite GM) for routine servicing. But in this case what I did was I paid someone with a diagnostic machine to check for the code since it would be cheaper than doing the diagnostic at the Honda dealership. Once I got the code I went online to see what it meant and what part I needed to purchase to fix it. Once I got it I ordered it myself, and once delivered I then took it to the Honda dealership where they replaced the faulty part. Go for the CR-V, it will serve you well.
@@tmasinde2420 thank you for taking the time to answer. So do you source the spare parts yourself? Do you import them or buy them locally? Thanks again
@@lethalstreak No problem at all. I normally just get the service parts locally from the dealer since whatever I might save from sourcing them abroad I would probably end up paying it terms of shipping costs. I have only had to import from abroad a few times and that was mostly after I had just bought the car and wanted to change a few items such as shocks.
I am Muchiri and have owned a Honda Crossroad 2000cc RTA since 2016 and I would find it hard to part with it. It's handsome... more male than female... as it somehow resembles a mini hummer. Additionally it is a 7 seater convertible. I have never had any major issue with it save for the fact after over 100, 000kms, it is now demanding replacement of the shocks.
The two makes almost match. To make any conclusion you should do one on one on every issue. You are explaining more of Honda features without the same for Toyota. Presented with the two, its a tough decision to make which one to take. Infact for the newer year models even Mazda is punching in that reliable category league.

Kabisa Honda's are good cars no doubt especially the civic, but toyota's are greater and more reliable in the long run, when you look at the cars on the road today that are more than twenty or thirty years old, toyota numbers speak for them selfs which are more than tripple the honda numbers. The problem we have with toyota's is there over priced nature in the kenyan market

My cousin's honda fit has 8 spark plugs... 8!!! Like a V8.... i guess its supposed to burn efficiently with 2 plugs per cylinder.
To provide more efficient-faster fuel ignition.
Two plugs per cylinder supposed to lower emissions, increase efficiency, boost fuel economy.
