Solder (saw-der) is what is used when splicing wires together in electrical work or when joining two pieces of stained glass together. My parents were hippies who used to make stained glass windows & lamps in north hollywood back in the 70's 😆 & my dad then went on to become an electrician, that's how I know. So while it would be neat if they chose the name based on smoulder, I tend to think it has more to do with stained glass or possibly electricity. Their original line of highlights were all named after electrical stuff too! 🤗 Great vid Riley, tysm for the excellent swatches & thoughts. 🥹🫶 *quite a lot of the names of the og jeweled stained glass collection is named after stained glass techniques, patterns, tools, etc. Like rosette for example, is a pattern in stained glass.

@@seekingshifts I think just about everyone who has swatched or shown the collection has mispronounced it but it's totally understandable! Iirc it's from a French word.. Or maybe latin? I love that cc usually gives us one word names cuz some of the shade names from some brands give me grief! 🫠🫢

I bought this bundle. I really don't like black based multichromes but these caught my eye with the lighter base. My favorites tend to be the ones that look white in the pans because I like that I can layer them with different effects. I appreciate that clionadh has multiple approaches to multichromes. I have a lot of their shadows and I consider them to be pretty versatile.
Im the same as you - I never wore the black based multis, and I always gravitate towards the more sheer transformative shades. I think you will really enjoy these!

This video was an informative roller coaster for me, lol. I went from cursing myself for not adding Patina Lite to my order, to wondering if I should just get Shellwe's Serendipity to wondering if I should just be satisfied with already having Patina. I'm obsessed with getting just the right high-shine lime-yellow-gold shade, but I probably just need to go swatching through my collection to refresh my memory of what I've already got looks like on my actual skin before I buy anything else. See this is the type of content I look for on YT or IG. Comprehensive swatches and comparisons. Wish I could use this as a reference before purchasing from them, as someone who doesn't like black based multichromes. I picked up Forge lite but totally ignored Burnish. I also picked up Tarnish and Ferric, which btw is a color dupe to Choco pink by Pastel Roses, but the formula is smooth.

This video must have required so much work! All the swatches were done absolutely perfectly and beautifully. I have seen another creator that I love (and has way more subscribers coff) doing them but thsy weren't half as good. Thank you thank you thabk you. I’ve worn 2 of the jeweled shades for 8+ hours and I’ve had NO creasing so far 🤞 I wore Trefoil Lite over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy with a matte in my crease, by the end of the day it was COMPLETELY in tact even after I went on a run outdoors in July heat. I was shocked! I wore Flame Blown lite all day today over a matte and no glitter primer and it was crease-free when I went to wash off my makeup! So far it’s looking really good - the regular Jewelled formulas would last maybe 2-3 hours before starting to disintegrate on my eyelids.

I think "Solder" refers to the substance melted by a soldering Iron to affix wires to circuit boards in electronics and also to seal metal pipes in plumbing. It is pronounced sod-er, not sol-der if it is referring to that.
That would make a lot more sense haha

I’ve been waiting for your video! I seriously love your reviews they’re so helpful. I placed a small order using your code, I didn’t wanna lose out on ferric. Debating on placing another tho. Do you think the dimensionals all seem pretty dark except ferric and tarnish? It’s hard to tell but it looks like the base is pretty dark.

I got them all. I was curious how the jeweled lites compared to the shineby sd jeweled collection and i see that they are more light . I love light multichromes .... love layering them with the jeweled tones XD . and while shine by sd had the cake for me regarding "true multichrome" and there no base approach. the particles are def not sheer and they look like sparkles once blended . opaque sparkles. so yeah I cant wait to get my order XD......as for the dimensionals ....I just love some good complex sparkle XD
