So it’s more simpler for me lol
So basically this au is Sunny dying Instead of Mari.
Sunny drowned in the lake and Mari was unsuccessful in saving him so Hero went in to save Sunny but when he reached him it was too late.

Maybe instead of mari blaming kel, it would be better if she only tell the truth earlier on since she knows well it was an accident. I think it would be out of character for mari to just blame someone for an obvious accident to be honest
I do understand where you’re coming from!
But In my mind I think Mari is just dealing with a lot of grief and is angry with everyone who had something to do with Sunny falling into the lake. So she blames them (being Kel and hero) and also blames herself. She will soon realize how it was an accident and she shouldn’t have blamed them but doesn’t know how to mend things especially since she hasn’t seen her friends for years.

How can Kel blame MARI for it when she was the only one who tried to save him?? Like I can see why Mari would blame KEL, he convinced Sunny to jump off into the lake and when he didn’t come up didn’t try to save him, in fact no one did, she’d have the right to be pissed.
This is an old video and I have changed a few things. First, Mari wasn’t the only one who tried to save Sunny. In this Au Mari took a bit longer then usual to rescue Sunny so Hero jumped in to get Mari back to the surface to breath so he could save Mari (he’s a better swimmer) but it was already to late when he reached Sunny.
And for Kel he didn’t blame Mari for it, he simply didn’t like that Mari blamed him for something like that..especially since he was only a kid and putting that thought in a child’s head isn’t a good feeling. When sunny fell Kel was just as shocked as everyone else and be kinda just froze. And I’m pretty sure Hero wouldn’t want Kel jumping in to save sunny because Kel was just a kid and Hero didn’t want anything happening to him.

Nope! Kel was pressuring Sunny to jump in the lake. Sunny actually fell into the lake because of the spider on his shoulder. But no one saw it..so.. Yeah!

I'm assuming he kinda takes the role of Basil here
I think it’s because in this AU, when Sunny fell into the lake (like in the final duet scene) Mari failed to save him. Kel and Hero are the ones who kind of pressured him to join in when they were diving into the water off the statue, and didn’t really do anything when Sunny started drowning.

@@sprinkle_puffs Sorry I’m a little late to this but maybe it’s because it was mainly Kel pressuring him to try to dive off the statue which it what got them into the situation in the first place. I assume Kel would be the one pressuring Sunny into doing that, since Hero is older and would know better but idk
