Hey Farfa! So this is awkward, but i'm the guy you bought that Salamangreat deck from. Thanks for featuring me on table 500 live edition. Haha. You're my favourite Yugituber so to open my RUclips to find a video of you roasting me honestly made my day. :D Regarding your analysis though I just wanted to explain my perspective on things and clarify that i'm in no way trying to scam or mislead people with the decks I sell. I'm actually the one who started the whole ready to play deck thing, and the aim was the opposite of scamming people. Back when I started on Ebay a decade or so ago it was full of people selling lucky dip sets of cards that quite clearly weren't going to be what was shown in the listing, and sealed boosters that had been pre-scaled. I wanted a way to sell cards to people in a more transparent and honest way, so I devised my pre-constructed deck idea as a way to do that. The idea being that it allowed me to list everything that was included so that people knew exactly what they were purchasing. I do put a lot of thought into what to put in each deck in order to make them fun and playable, whilst still being very affordable. I've had tens of thousands of happy customers over the years, a lot of whom have returned to buy more decks after the first, so there is definitely a segment of the community who really like what I do and find my decks represent good value. I think what it comes down to is whether you want to play competitively or casually. I've always aimed my decks more at the kind of players who just want to have some fun with friends rather than attending big tournaments, just because that allows me to make the decks cheaper, which is a big factor for a lot of people. For instance you mention that you could build a better deck with 3 of the structure decks, which is definitely true, but it would cost twice as much as the deck you bought from me. Spending that extra £12 would represent better value if you are intending to take that deck to a serious tournament, but if you're just playing at home with friends you might not feel the same way. I would never advertise any of my decks as being tournament winning level, but I try to make sure they are ready to play casually, and that they provide a very solid core that you can build upon if you do want to take things to the next level. You have to remember that the competitive market for Yu-Gi-Oh is only a small part of the game, there are probably far more people that just play with friends or even don't play at all and just want to collect all the cards from a theme they have seen on the TV show. All these segments of the market deserve to be catered for just as much as the competitive market do, so just because a product isn't right for you doesn't automatically make it a scam. In general I would encourage anyone who is looking at one of my decks to check the description as I always put a deck list in there for you. If you like what you see that's great, I would love to have your business and you can be assured I will give you the best service I can, but if you don't like it and decide not to buy that's totally ok too. I understand completely that my decks aren't for everyone, and I have no wish to trick anyone into buying things that they don't want as that wouldn't be a positive experience for me or the buyer. Since I have the opportunity though I just want to thank anyone reading this who has bought one of my decks in the past and had some fun playing with it. You've helped me turn the game I love into something I can make a living from, and it's hard to express how much that means to me. The Yu-Gi-Oh community has changed my life, so I just wanted to say thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart. :)
Thanks for replying, it's crazy you even found this. I understand your perspective and obviously from where I'm standing the decks just seem like complete piles. I don't want to blame you for people being stupid if they thought they were actually going to pick up a good deck. It's not a scam or anything as I first thought, I think you're doing a good job overall, for the most part by making these for people. At least it gives them an idea on how to play a deck or archetype before they commit to upgrades, I suppose.
Those decks are actual trash though, intentions are fine but the product is still bad enough to where you could make new players stop playing if they were to buy that garbage lol. Good intentions don't make selling hot ass right.
Lol check the Serial Numbers, hes just selling a Structure deck (or 2) put Together. I think I may of Bought my other 2 Zombie decks from him cuz mine came in the same zippy package aha
my honest opinion after watching this is that it is definitely playable for $15 tbh. obviously not good, and you should just get triple structure, but i don't think this is predatory marketing or anything.
I remember selling a MtG U/W Control, ready-to-play Standard deck (not including sideboard/side deck) back during Ravnica/Champions Standard, including good-quality sleeves, and deck box...but I sold it for $325. All in total, the value of the cards, and deck box/sleeves, had I sold them (and not bought the sleeves and deck box), would have earned me $298. So...a less than 10% additional profit felt fair for a decklist that I was still actively using and winning with in tournaments (I took a couple of pictures of myself using the deck locally in a 36-person tournament, and included it in the listing as well as the results with me undefeated). In all, I sold 5 exact copies of the deck for the same price. It was pretty fun to basically make my own pre-con/structure deck...but yeah, If I'd tried to sell it for $15...it wouldn't have been tournament-viable for sure. I still could have made it fun, but when the sleeves + box would cost 40% of the end price...you wouldn't have been able to expect a miracle. I feel that this is an incredible outcome for something pretty cheap. I don't really think it's misleading...mainly because it is a functional deck, and no one should actually expect a 12-pound miracle (unless Konami releases a ridiculously OP structure deck...they can set whatever price they want and still basically be profitable).
Just want to say that when the Gold Sarc Mega Tins first went on sale the big UK Ebay seller with all the "ready to play" decks was selling a Thunder Dragon one with all the reprinted cards for like £20 which was INSANE value. Now as you would expect the deck wasnt actually "ready to play" but it was a much better deal than buying all the prismatic thunder dragons as singles for like £5 each. The deal was so good that I actually bought it myself and there was about 15 available. I sent it to my friend who was also looking for cheap Thunder Dragons and when he looked a few hours later they were all sold out already. So basically what I'm saying is its worth looking at these decks when new sets drop because on rare occasions you can actually get a deal.
Looks like someone bought a bunch of structure decks to get Ash Blossom, then put in some garbage to replace them and resold it for an increased price :V
dude. same. got some guy at my locals that literally copies all of jesse cotton's lists. right now we have to deal with his dumb starliege thunder deck.
8:52 It is clear that you have nowhere near as much IQ as Trif. You call this deck bad when it comes with the best Salad trap in the game. I am disappointed in you.

With the exception of the Salad Ritual all of the cards were from the structure deck :P This was fun seeing you 2-0 Pendulum Magicians with this shit deck and the losses were funny too. To bad your camera died cause those Abyss Actor duels sound pretty sweet. Great stuff Farfa!
actually thats something you should have done, at the end of the video you should have went on, lets say TCGplayer, and priced out the entire deck to see what that actual value was compared to what you paid for it
game two on fast forward really illustrates how ridiculous the constant hand shuffling is. Guy hadn't played his first turn yet and had already shuffled it like four times.
Heatleo can’t spin scales because it has to spin a Card in the spell and trap card zone. When pendulums are place in the spell and trap card zone, they become only pendulum zones not additional spell and trap card zones
Are you completely sure? Last ruling I came across was that Heatleo can spin scales because they're still treated as S/T zones and can't be treated as anything else. The only spell Heatleo can't spin is the field spell zone.
