Because you zoom in on the video to make it vertical, the video loses its quality and parts. There is no way around it. You can rotate the video and adjust its size, but then that video will only be in the centre. The top and bottom parts will be empty. The other way is to record that video again (if possible).

It's one of the few areas where Lightcut needs significant development. If anyone else has a better solution I'd be glad to hear it.

Yes, and direct from your phone photos collection as well
But to save? Export on my ipad using lightcut says lack of memory I only have a 7min video crazy. My ipad have 156GB storage left

Which music? You need to be careful while using their music. It may be copyright-free, but you never know.
